Great Information Guys Keep it up, I do have a question about gifts and trust.
How would one send more than the lifetime exemption to a trust to protect your assets with out paying such a huge tax?

I’m new to this world and I work for a small wealth management company. We don’t have in house counsel. My question is for a irrevocable grantors trust and when the firm is Trustee, who signs the agreement paperwork? The grantor or the beneficiary of the trust?

Should you just gift 100k to each of the 5 kids and file 709 or set up Irrevocable trust? Both have the 5 year medicaid look back but gifting has no trustee paperwork or taxes.

If it is written in an irrevocable trust” trustee has “unlimited authority” , is that enough for true unlimited authority?
