  • In this video we export our DEM imagery as a point cloud, import it into Rhino and create a surface from the points.

    Everything worked until I opened the CSV file in excel. The excel doesn't separate the columns into XYZ but mixes all the numbers together(was correct in Qgis)

      @@Alexjihaa1985 hey, I had the same problem but found a work around to save it as a MS office excel file first and then a .csv from excel

    Hey! I really like your tutorial- thank you! It helped me a lot! I managed to import my pointcloud in rhino but i have 4 columns of points in z- direction. i think it is like you had one column. but when i 2d-scale it my pointcloud doesn't get better. do you know what i can do? thx!

    My X and Y points when exported into EXCEL stayed as the same number even they are different in QGIS. How do I fix this?

    Hi, what if we are using milimeters instead of feet? Because when I scale2d, nothing changes in my model, I still see it as a vertical line instead of the terrain?

    That's great. I did try to import heights through height field but that gives me only 256 levels . I did not try this point cloud import yet, but it seems to me that the accuracy can be much higher. Is that correct?
