Such a nice and easy recipe. Can you tell me how to know that pan is heated enough to spread dosa? I always try to make ragi dosa and batter doesn't spread properly

      Hi Aakanksha,
Heating depends on type griddle. If you are using cast iron then it takes about 10 to 12 min and if you are using non-stick then it will take about 5 min.
If dosa batter is thick or if the griddle is too hot then dosa batter will not spread properly.

Ingredients not properly told, water need to add more: 3 cups. Add green chilli and onion for taste

      These ingredients are optional…
More water might make dosa stick to pan

All ingredients are showed in the video. Try doing on very hot griddle or you can add little rice flour.

Didn’t come out at all the way in the video. Ragi is thick and refuses to be spread this way, it’s easier to pour it like rava dosa. But I have made ragi this way with proper fermentation overnight, I will stick to that

The batter should not be thick and you can spread properly …

Actually I didn't get as shown so in an iron pan I added little oil and then batter because of oil the battergotspread better and then I had covered it with a lid for 2 mins so I got perfect dosa

@@GoudarsKitchen The same quantities of ingredients. As soon as I put the batter on the heated tawa, it suck and started to dry out. Couldn't even circle the batter into a dosa.

There might be few reasons- your batter is thick or griddle might be too hot or batter is not soaked for long enough.
