In a actual confrontation Patrick wouldn’t really be able to catch Dexter because he kinda isn’t really that smart when you compare him to Dexter, a team up would never happen and if it did it would never had last, Patrick’s sanity in the movie was slowly deteriorating and by the end of the movie he was trying to catch bodies anywhere he went nothing less, short version is this, Patrick is a Killer, Dexter kills Killers, that’s it
