Great video! Thank you. Just bought my 1st 1911. It’s a GI. Just wanted to own one. My style is more revolver and muzzle loader. That’s is a great tutorial. Made it easy to get to know my new RIA and appreciate it more. Thanks again.
thank you so much. Ive been fucking with this thing for hours. every time I would assemble the grip safety and try to cock the hammer, it would jump straight back into the uncocked position and wouldn't stay cocked. Thanks a lot.
I would have used a sledgehammer to drive the main spring housing pin home. That little jeweler's hammer you used doesn't always do it lol. Great video.
FUUUUCCCKKKK. Took apart this very gun for the first time since I got it. Watched 2 videos from the people who made the fucker and put the lower half together 5 times with the info they had in those videos and the hammer didn't work any of the times. Watch this once and it works perfectly now.
Great video I just did a Wilson Combat trigger, sear, hammer, safety grip drop in install. Drop in my ass, safety doesn’t want to engage and slide doesn’t want to stay cock back. Need to take it apart and see what’s going on.
Why would I like to disassemble my RIA 1911 to the frame? All you need to do to clean is the barrel, the breech and oil the recoil spring and buffer guide.
My ria 1911 is the only firearm I own that will start forming rust weeks after a decent cleaning and if left alone will require a full breakdown like this to remove all rust
Dude...just saying...instead of having all the gun parts bouncing and sliding around on the hard surface of the table, next time use a mat for the disassembled items to rest on.All the pieces mixed and piled up in front of you did not look good either...just saying. You forgot to remove the extractor from the slide as well.... One more critical advice here...delete this video and start over with a better presentational video with the advice that I mentioned...One that your own father would be proud of...just a suggestion.
the best and most comprehensive video I've seen after watching weeks of videos
true.
I also like that you took the time to show how to take apart the mag. thanks again!
Your in depth tutorial puts others to shame much appreciated!

I'm having that problem now, can't figure out what I've done wrong
@@rexswift8236 I wish I could help. I don’t remember that I did to fix it lol

Yep I just ordered a new spring from Brownel"s for my RIA 1911 A1 This was a very well laid out video

Good video. I strongly recommend you don’t have any ammo in the room when you assemble, disassemble or clean a firearm.

you may want to use a plastic hammer instead of a claw hammer, just saying. great video BTW
Thank you for making this video
very well
Great video just wondering is the trigger the same for adjustable triggers as well
Error pin safety

There is no need to clean the 1911 this way. This is not a field strip cleaning, this is armorer Dis-assemble.
noooooo u ruined it just kidding n... way longer to get apart vs a Glock
Yeah, but my dog can't eat my 1911.
Lmao
But I dont want a Glock
