- This video covers a 3 phase inverter from open loop to a bi-directional real & reactive power gridlink inverter with digital control.
The control is performed in the dq reference with pi controllers. Id provides the bidirectional real power and Iq provides the bidirectional reactive power. SmartCtrl is used to design the control loops after the plant bode plots are determined with a PSIM AC sweep

Thanks Albert, your videos are helpful.
you are welcome. If you have content suggestions please let us know!
Great job !
Can you perform a video with the staircase modulation based on the voltage lookup table control of grid connected 1-phase cascaded multilevel inverter ? I noticed that most of videos talk about 3- phase 2-level inverter. Thank you !
Hi can i apply this on BLDC motor? i mean if i change the load with BLDC motor, does it work?
Can I extend this with a battery that could be charged and also send power to the grid?
Yes.
Great work, but can you help me by explaining more the Vv and the Vp why they are 1 and 0 ?
Vv and Vp are 1 and 0 so that the gain of the comparator circuit is '1' if these numbers are something else you are introducing a gain term into your control loop that is already accounted for in the AC sweep from PSIM. Adding gain will shift the control to output transfer function up which will increase you cross frequency and reduce your phase margin. The opposite for an attenuation.

Hi, why not cross decoupling "wl" between d and q axis? Thanks.
Sorry, it has been I while since I made this video. Are you referring to decouple during the AC sweep or the control signal definitions? Decoupling the d and q isn't necessary to get a stable PI control of the d and q variables with good performance. Doing extra math/work to decouple them is not really worth the effort, how much better does it need to be?
@@altairhowto it's common to see in some books for control in Power converters, a cross decoupling
-wL*id sum in iq mesh and wL*iq sum in id mesh. I know that it isn't necessary in PI design this consideration but the books spoke for a pratical operation, consider the cross decoupling. Because this, my question about this, If it's necessary or no. Thank you so much.
Hi, Do you have any videos or resources for single phase grid tie inverter simulation on psim?
here is the single phase inverter ruclips.net/video/25c8_trrmSo/видео.html
drive the voltage reference with a PLL, PLL example circuits are in "other" in the example folder
@@altairhowto Thanks
PSIM Hi Albert, you have worked an excellent result outputs with perfect control! Good work! Thank you for your work. I didn’t see PLL in your recommended video. Do you have any reference video about single phase invertor with Sogi pll?
