I love how its not only learning Spanish but your culture/ heritage that you're pouring into your kids for their future!
Another great idea is to change the language of your favorite shows/movies to Spanish. Most of the Disney movies are in both languages so it could be cool to expose them to those movies in that language.

I love that you’re teaching them Spanish! English isn’t even my first or even second language but because it’s the dominent language it can be hard to be mindful about teaching and speaking in the other two to my kids. It’s definitely in my plans to be more intentional about it so I just need to stop making excuses.
Hi Kayla! One word of advice I've heard constantly with learning a new language fluently is to surround yourself, and thus your children, in that language. I know we got just a snippet of how you're teaching Riley Spanish, but it would be very helpful to speak only in Spanish to her, even if it's just in the Spanish lessons, but also throughout the day. This is in no way a criticism on how you're teaching your children Spanish, and by all accounts, you're doing so much better than I am. I just thought it would be a beneficial addition to what you're already doing.

So awesome that you're teaching them Spanish!! Both me and my husband speak Spanish but we live in Asia, so we are most of the Spanish she'll ever get 🤣 I use Disney movies in Spanish and these youtube channels, one if like Ms Rachel but ONLY in Spanish with tons of music from latinamerican countries: Aprende Peque. And the other is just songs, in English and Spanish (they also have books!): Canticos ❤️ Hope it helps!! 😊

I've been trying the one parent one language approach as I'm originally from Brazil and I try to only speak in Portuguese while my husband speaks English. My three year old understand most of the time but she has a very hard time speaking back.

Im teaching my son
My dad’s parents both moved to Canada from Holland as young adults. My dad only spoke Dutch until he went to grade one. I have always been so sad he didn’t speak Dutch to us at home. Dutch is not as widely used here as Spanish would be for you guys. You guys will have so many opportunities for the kids to practice in real life/use the language. I’m sure they’ll be so grateful you taught them.

This is why I can’t do a curriculum to teach my daughter Spanish. The Spanish taught it America is all wrong to me as a person whose first language is Spanish and wasn’t born here in the US.
Kayla you need to focus on cleaning your home! it's so cluttered ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ stresses full. Joe doesn't want to know Spanish Kayla. . Joe already has class he doesn't want to learn it❤ . .. had to stop watching your channel because it didn't make sense you're all over the place😮😮

Kayla, you are doing great! You have your priorities in line. Real life is messy, homes are lived in with kids. It’s so refreshing seeing a God honoring channel! We are all just doing our best!!! Idk why people need to come on here leaving discouraging comments when they don’t know what it’s like to be in your shoes. Especially if they don’t watch your channel 🤔
