This monthly series of hybrid meetings is open to everyone who lives and/or works in Shoreline. CityLearn meetings start with Council updates and feature presentations about timely issues from City staff and partner organizations. There will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss issues.
Join Meng Liu, the City’s Budget and Tax Manager, as she unravels the intricacies of managing expenses to align with income, in accordance with Washington State law.
In this video you will learn about the different ways the City plans and uses money to take care of the community. From making careful plans to deciding where the money should go, you'll learn how the City keeps track of its budget.
Ever wonder what happens to the taxes you pay? Meng Liu will help you understand how property and sales taxes help pay for things in the city.
Whether you live in Shoreline and want to know more about how the city handles money, or you're just curious about how cities manage their budgets, please watch this recording and join us at our next CityLearn session!
