  • I picked a character from an artist in our community to rig. I show off Freestyle rigging and continue to explore the importance of Body Mechanics. Body mechanics is critical to Rig Theory so that you can get lots of natural movement from your rig quickly and easily.
I'm using version 6 of Flash Power Tools- which is a Beta version. To apply to participate in the Beta program contact the developers from the link below. (Use the contact form on their website or leave a comment on their channel)
    Animators everywhere should see this!

Electric Dog has developed a character rigging toolset promises to catch Adobe Animate up to current and possibly set a new standard of 2D character rigging. I can't fully describe how excited I am about the possibilities of this new toolset but in this short video, I'll try.
EDAP Tools are a collection of plugin commands, custom tools, panels and optimized keyboard shortcuts for Adobe Animate. Find out more about Smart Magnet Rigs by Nickolay Tilcheff from the links below:

Yeah I Need this version... I have an issue. I have managed to rig my character but whenever I start to add key frames the rigging seems to disappear or not work. I did look it up on their site and they said I should use advanced layers but it still didn't help😕 do you by any chance have a solution.? And thank you

Hi mate, I'll take the opportunity to reply here, since I saw your comment.
Animate up to v.19.1 has a critical bug wiping out metadata during keyframe creation.
All versions of Flash and Animate 19.2 and newer work fine.
If you insist on using Animate 19.0 or 19.1 you have to use Convert To Keyframe Advanced to create new keyframes. It is one of EDAP Tools commands.
No one on our site would ever link this issue to Advanced Layers.
V.6 will not support Animate 19.0 and 19.1 and will have the same issues. These are inherent to Animate and have nothing to do with EDAP Tools.
      Hope this helps!

@@ntilcheff hey again, I managed to update and it works without having to convert to keyframe advanced thank you... there's still an issue though when animating. the limbs shift from the joint, i used the clean up command which corrects it but the problem is that it adds multiple keyframes in-between. this is ok but this means if i need to make changes at a later stage it will be difficult. or is there a different way to go about animating it
