- I usually never give up, but this time I was very close...
I have done these videos for a few years now, but I have never been so disappointed with a result… Well, I guess failure is always an option...
The thing is Silk Screen printing is a really difficult technique that you can’t master on the first try, I guess…
So, well… here is my attempt at painting like Andy Warhol! Your feedback is highly appreciated, maybe more than usual! 😭😭😭
Music: “Springtime” and “Surf Monster”, both available on IMovie, for personal and commercial use
A big thank you to Alex, my son, for his help in filming the “Pop Fiction” sequence! - Развлечения
Well done! It's great that you were willing to share a video in which you encountered problems. Please keep going - both your successes and "failures" are interesting and educational. I'm not sure that it was a failure though! Sounds like you learned a lot.
Thanks, Adrian! Yes, I did learn a lot, and the final result, as I said at the end is not bad, although it is not really in the style of Warhol… 😝 it is hanging in my living room right now…
Very entertaining and informative, as usual. I've never attempted silk-screening because it sounded like such a headache. This conforms my suspicions!
Hahahaha! It takes organisation, cleanliness and precision but I don’t think it is impossible! It’s a learning curve…
I loved this video. I love it better that you described the things that went wrong. Very scientific. Thank you for sharing the video. I assure you, I will NEVER try this. 😁 But look forward to your 2nd/ 3rd attempt in the future.
Haha, thank you very much, Purbasha! Yes, for a first time, it was brutal… hahaha… I think all in all, my biggest sin there was to underestimate the technique involved silk screen printing. If I can get the proper advice, I will try a second attempt!
Great! I enjoyed the Video very much. And the picture is marvelous... consider that Warhol has made so called "blotted paintings", a very easy but effectful technique. Try it, ou will be fascinated...
Thanks a lot Paul! Silk screen is definitely a difficult skill to acquire and, as I mentioned, I may try it again in the future!
No need for tears, the result was fab ...
Thanks a lot! I am not saying it is bad, but I was kinda expecting something different…
