Laura, You HAVE to read Poetry! One of my favorite genres. Robert Frost is my favorite, Mary Oliver is very good ( she said she really liked Frost), Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, ChristinaRosetti, Elizabeth Barrett Browning,etc. A good bk. of short stories is The Blue Bedroom by Rosamunde Pilcher; very good. I read a wide variety. A book you HAVE to read is 84 Charring Cross Rd. by Helene Hanff. NEVER BE IN A BOX!

Laura an author I think you may enjoy is Karen Swan. I bought one of her books at Christmas time in 2021 (I think?) and I started reading and thought I was going to absolutely hate it because it was a sports story (it is but not entirely). I forced myself to read it because the writing was good, I’m just not a sports reading girl, by the end of the book I loved it. I was so surprised that I enjoyed it that I’ve continued to buy her books and by the end of her books there’s not a one that I could say I haven’t enjoyed. I’m surprised that RUclipsrs don’t talk about her books. I would really love to see you read Midnight in the Snow to see if you enjoy it. I can’t remember any spicy things in her books that I’ve read, I could be wrong but I can’t remember any. I’m going to try and by her older books because I enjoy her books so much. Anyway I think she’s an author you possibly could enjoy. If your not interested that’s fine as we can’t read everything or even like everything☺️
