I hope you all are having a great 2024 so far! My first upload of this year is yet another Undertale cover. This is one of my favorite tracks in the game, and I really love the uplifting mood! It feels fitting for a fresh start to a new year :)
So beautiful, massive thanks to you that I found the music of Undertale, because last time you did Death by Glamour and it blew me away. Since then I've been checking out Undertale quite a bit! And have to say your Undertale covers are so tastefully done, this is another great one! 👏👏👏

That's such a long time ago now... it must be interesting to see how you arranged stuff back then huh? I can kind of relate... except when I look back at my old vocal covers, I take note of how I phrased certain lines differently than how I would normally deliver them today. My older covers tend to be louder/punchier in a kind of annoying way, or certain notes stick out when they shouldn't. Sometimes I feel like I didn't change much in the rearrangement, but then I listen side-by-side and I'm like... okay this new version is thankfully better LOL. I feel like when I look over old compositions I've made several years ago, I sometimes feel like it's a totally different person! Also, ahhh the animation is so cool! Since I work with MIDI, I usually can move some of the notes around if I notice that they're wrong, or I change the note velocity to sound softer or more intense. But sometimes I even completely rerecord sections. MIDI is much more forgiving than an acoustic recording. I can definitely tell how I've improved over the years. The biggest issue my older covers had was that they were SO LOUD and sounded kind of obnoxious hahaha. So a lot of what I do is making sure that the volume and intensity sound better. I honestly have sooo many older arrangements from other franchises that I might just never rearrange since it seems like daunting work. I miss doing new songs right now, so I think I might get back to that for a while before doing more rearrangements.

The melody is so sparkling and I enjoy the energetic left hand part with the syncopations and momentum and then both hands building to a simple pure ending!
