Its the other way around on the AIS system. It uses crankcase pressure to inject air into the exhaust to help burn off emissions. taking it out does nothing except cut down on heat and glowing header issue. so if you like the planet keep it in. if you hate the heat get a exhaust wrap or get it ceramic coated.
Ronnie I have a question. Taking the AIS system out cuts down the heat of the pipe? Does it also keep from the heat causing bad seals? A guy told me that if they get too hot the seals go bad. Because it's not a trail bike.
U should of done a install video for the precision elite stabilizer.u would be the forst to make it and im sure u will have A LOT of subscribers and likes off of it
@@hostilegarage thanks buddy!!! I’m currently on map five as well, but I wasn’t sure if that was safe on a stock motor?? I bought a 2022 YFZ… just not sure what to run which settings…
Does it still get as hot as the stock one? I’ve burned my leg at least 4 times with the heat from the stock exhaust. Didn’t burn my pants or anything just the constant heat hitting my leg gave me blisters and left me permanent scarring
The header definitely doesn't SEEM like it's getting as hot, but I haven't tested it for an actual temp difference (with a Temp gun or anything). Keep in mind, I'm also running the Vortex ECU which will correct the factory Lean Condition by adding more fuel, which in turn makes the bike run cooler.
Post some more videos , I’m from oregon as well doing a build on a 22 glad to see people post around the area especially are dunes
Awesome video . We appreciate it :)
You guys make a stellar product!
Nice quads. Don’t forget to change out that stock clutch basket and gear before they blow up. Ticking time bombs.

Thanks Ronnie. The point was if you do an FCI Airbox, you won't have any place to mount the AIS box

Dang it…, on the “grubby fingerprints”…, oh well. Sounds pretty awesome…
Good work, good video.
Thank you sir.
Can you still run 93 octane with the vortex? What settings on the vortex do you run?
Yessir, I run T-4 mostly, but I've ran out before and ran Clear 93 with no issues, same mapping 5-5-5
Nice bike!! Are
You still running the current settings on your Vortex? Any issues ?
Yessir, same settings, and no issues yet! I'll be tossing in some Cams this year hopefully
Is it recommended to also add a new intake and programmer when adding a new exhaust to a yfz 450r? I’m thinking of adding a full empire exhaust
I would recommend it, yes

Hah! Good to know! Maybe if my son gets one for his 450, I'll do one with his.
Hey buddy!! Looks great!!! You said your running the Vortex…. What map and settings are you running?
Current settings are Map 5, at 5-5-5.

If you don’t mind me asking what’s your elevation and what are you running your Vortex settings on?
Hey Paul, I'm only about 500', and where I ride is either Sea Level, or about 1000'. Current settings are Map 5, at 5-5-5.
What off set is the rims on the green one front and rear

Isn't the white one a 2022?
Yes I have the same one it’s a 450r SE
Yeah as soon as I install a new pipe I use a cotton pad with rubbing alcohol and wipe the entire pipe down.
Smart Man!
