I have this keyboard and I really like it. Sometimes I work at night, with the lights off to not wake up the rest of the house. The quietness of this keyboard is one of the reasons I bought. Because I don't have to wake up anyone with my typing. If it would be backlit, I would give it a ten out of ten, but instead I give it a 9 out of ten.

Really nice review Jordan, I remember hearing you recording part of the audio for this in the periscope stream! Lol "pardon the pun". You did a great job of showing how effortless it is to switch between three different devices at 5:08, the keyboard has a lot of extra functionality which is great. I'm always a fan of logitech products because of how customizable they are. Lol I like the pen holder feature ;) Awesome thumbnail by the way, keep up the great work, 65 more to 7,000!

great review thank you - im just wondering - can i now get a bluetooth mouse and use this on android device at the same time as keyboard? thanks so much robbie
Can I use the keyboard with more than one unifying receiver at a time (and use the function keys to switch between devices), or would I need to move the unifying receiver between devices?
Hi Jordan, very nice review, I am interested in this keyboard, now is it going to work with Linux, cause I am working on Linux and mac simultaneously.. Thanks in advance.
Would you recommend this as the main keyboard for a mac? One thing that worries me is would I get used to the circular keys, as I am quite accustomed to square keys.
The function keys, which ones are primary? The F keys or Media keys and can they be configured? I primarily use the F for work and was thinking of this keyboard but this could be a deal breaker if I cannot change
This is meant for a PC, mac or phone/tablet, so a TV isn't applicable for use with this. You can navigate the devices it's meant for with the arrow keys, but again, it's not designed to be used with a TV.
Thanks for the clear instructions I want to use my Ipad for this keyboard. I tried many times but it doesn't connect with bluetooth. Everything is on but it just doesn’t work. Could this be a faulty?
I have a K380 which Logitech also claims has a 24 months battery life, and I've been using mine for almost 1.5 years now (pretty much all day, everyday, for everything including work) and haven't changed the batteries once yet. If the K780 is anything as good as that, I'm sold.

When connected to phones, is there anyway to switch between apps or do you have to have the app up and ready to use? For example, if I want to switch a track on Spotify, but then I get a WhatsApp can you cycle through them?
I'd say that would be down to the phone. I remember you can navigate the phone using the arrow keys and tab, so theoretically you could move to the multitasking button and open that I guess. I can't 100% guarantee it'll work though, I don't have this any more to try it out.
@@jordanash thanks! 👍 Looks interesting now I'm WFH so much more, I've got all my personal and work devices in one place so it would be handy to switch between them with the Logitech flow system!
Great review. I just clicked on the link in the description, and noticed the K780 is currently on sale! I'm still trying to decide whether or not I should buy the K780. The two keyboards that have made the biggest impression on me have been the Logitech DiNovo Edge, and the Logitech K810. It breaks my heart that the K810 has been discontinued. I was shopping around for one today as I wanted to buy a couple of spares, but couldn't find a reputable retailer who's selling them. Heartbreaking.
Thank you! It may be that the K810 has been discontinues as there's a nerw model coming out soon. I can't confirm that though, even though I weok with them, I;ve not heard anything.
Hope this isn't a stupid question but when combined with a mouse does the mouse also switch between devices when you press the “1,2 and 3” buttons or is it only the keyboard that switches and the mouse remains with the PC? I know using a mouse on a phone might be a bit pointless but on a big tablet it could be handy. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks.
I use the home and end keys quite a bit. I do see a key with the home icon. Does that work as the home key for text editing? What about the end key. My Logitech K520 has those keys. Thank you for the great review!
That button is for use with a smartphone, it just takes the phone to the home screen. For text, the usual home and end are on the number pad, accessible by using the FN key, when num lock is enabled, or just by perssing normal with not enebaled. Thanks for the feedback!.
Hi Jordan: This was a great video. I have just purchased this keyboard and my initial thoughts are very positive. I was wondering if there is a way to change how the Function Keys would react when depressed. I like to be able to control the screen brightness but there are no special Function Keys assigned for this purpose. I am using this on a Mac so I was wondering if you have any ideas? Regards, Keith
HI Jordan: Thanks for your response. I was able to find a share-ware program called Karabiner-Elements that has allowed me to re-map the required Function buttons. It works like a charm. Cheers, Keith
Greetings from Argentina, nice review!..May I ask you if I can use both the Logitech M720 Triathlon and the Logitech K780 at the same computer?. I´ll use the Bluetooth receptor that comes with the Logitech M720 Triathlon for both......is that possible?. Thanks in advance...
Cómo te fue con el teclado? Algo malo para decir? Como haces con la ñ? . Estoy entre el k375s y este. No me decido, aunque este me gusta más estéticamente
This keyboard worked great for about 5 days. Now it will not connect to my mac. the little light on the #1 white key flashes. the mac sees the keyboard but keeps switching between connected/not connected and then disappears. logitech support is no help. They just assume you are more than 30 feet away (I'm about 12 inches) or have a garage door next to it (i'm not in the garage). Until it stopped working it was great! So disappointed.
Anybody know how the K380 compares to the K780 when it comes down to how the button being pressed feels? Tested K780 in store and it felt amazing but thought it was too expensive. Can only find the K380 in online stores and wondered if it feels the same as K780 or worse/better
Jordan, this might sound crazy, but did you feel you (and/or your fingers) needed any time to adjust to the round keys? They look pretty cool because they're "different," but the last time I used round keys was on an old manual typewriter in the late 1950s. (Okay, I admit that I just looked at my fingertips. They ARE rounded, not square.) Excellent review, by the way.
Hi thanks for the review! I have the K380 - I love it, but the keys and the spacing between them are a little too small for me, resulting in a more typos/errors. In terms of real estate for typing, spacing between the keys and the size of the keys themselves, how does this compare? And overall how do you like the typing experience on this compared to the smaller brother (K380)?
I think this is an amazing keyboard however I cannot get the keypad to work. I get the tones whenever I put num lock on or off but it will not type numbers. In other words. I am typing text such as this and I want to type 1234 I cannot do so using the integrated keypad. I must use the number keys along the top of the keyboard. I have called Logitech and they have no solutions.
Thanks for a great review. I was ready to take my keyboard back to the shop because I couldn't get the dongle to work at all, and bluetoothing into my Chrome PC was an absolute nightmare. Now that I have got the dongle to work (I hadn't spotted the on/off button on the side) I will persevere.
I purchased the K780 keyboard and the m590 mouse. I did so thinking that I could use them to switch back and forth between 2 PC's but I haven't been able to figure out how to do that. Do I insert a unifying receiver into each of the pc's? Any tips out there??... TIA.
I bought this keyboard on the basis of this and many other positive reviews however despite good features I found the typing experience to be poor, basically akin to a good laptop but nowhere near a traditional keyboard. The travel is short with a flat hard response also the angle of the is very low with no adjustment making for an uncomfortable experience for long typing sessions. The product itself is well made and switching between devices does work well, it's even a novelty for a while but given the price of the item the miss on typing is too big for me!
How fast would you say the switching is? Almost instant? ... not that critical but how would you say the lag is? (I’m thinking to also use it for a gaming system I have )
could i get this with more than one dongle? im trying to get a keyboard that can connect to possibly three different system, a computer and two gaming consoles, and its quite a difficult task
If you get additional Unifying receivers you can. But you are still limited to three devices on the keyboard. You can get software to use the same keyboard and mouse on another system at the same time.
Thanks Jordan. I am looking for a keyboard for my MacBook, after 'lending' my previous one to my lad. Long time fan of Logitech keyboards and this looks like a no brainer. Cheers!
so link keyboard, the keyboard follows the mouse but not the other way around. im quite disappointed by this. I got this keyboard today to work with my logitech anywhere 2s
Thank you for the video, I want to buy this but one thing is very important for me, K480 keyboard's keys are very hard to press for my usage, my preferred keyboard in the past 5 years was K810 and now I have to change it. Can you explain or compared for me? I'm just concerned about the level of the pressure I need to press the keys, Thanks
but where are the Launchpad and other apple keys? Also how are you able to press F1-F3 if games like CSgo requires them, will it just automatically switch to another device?
So here is a question regarding this keyboard, I have a Logitech G305 that has a usb receiver could I pair this keyboard onto that receiver. Then use the receiver that comes with the keyboard in my second pc ? Or Is it limited to only one usb connection per keyboard ? And I would have to use a bluetooth connection for the second one. I know this is probably a difficult question hopefully someone can answer :)
@@jordanash when you say profile, can you elaborate further as I am new to wireless peripherals... I am going from a Logitech g213 to the k780 how do you think they compare ? P.s thanks for taking the time to reply :)
Hey Jordan, nice review! Two questions I hope you can answer: 1. Is there a way to switch the mouse also when pressing the device button. For example switching between 2 personal computers with both mouse and keyboard? 2. Can it work with 2 unifying receivers? For instance one in PC1 and the other in PC2?
Hey Ralph, thank you for the feedback! I don't believe so, it's per peripheral, unfortunately. And regarding two receivers, I *think* that would work, as long as you use two profiles. I can't test the theory though, I've not had this here for a long time, this review is three years old now.
I've personally had terrible issues with Logitechs infamous unified receiver. It has terrible signal, I have MX master 3 + Mx Keys. The PC sits about 50cm away from the keyboard but yet I get continuous lag, disconnections and mouse stuttering. I've had to get a USB extension cable from my PC and blutac'd to my desk with the unified receiver. Its clear its a reception issue with the Unified receiver. Connecting mouse and keyboard to bluetooth instead resolves this but you lose out on many features if you do this. I've never spent so much on a keyboard and mouse combo and never had this many issues and been so disappointed. Beware of wireless Logitech products.
Thank you for asking this question. I like my keyboards to have the light indicators. Looking for a small keyboard for my small hands but really want the light indicator 😁
Wow! Perfect review. Thank you very much Jordan. I also have a question I have Wacom studio Studio Pro 13 width: 36.5 cm (14.3 inches) height: 23 cm (9 inches) total weight: 1.32 kg (2.9 lbs) Can the keyboard stand hold my tablet? I have a good feeling about it
@@jordanash, yes, I goggled it and used the Free download, many windows of authorization then no program appeared, but what has appeared are many, many pop-ups on my computer throughout my day.... bother! Now I've got to clean my computer
I bought these few months ago. They are excellent while they work. But one day they just stopped working. Could not do anything to revive them. Finally ended up dissembling them. I saw the wire between the keys and controller motherboard came off easily. Maybe that is the weak spot. I highlight it at ruclips.net/video/YyWR1aI0yaM/видео.html (at 10:03).

Typing experience: The keys sit slightly up from the main body of the keyboard, and give a quiet click with every stroke (but really quiet, not loud in the slightest). Once you get over the bump of the key (or actuation point you could say) there is a little more travel, but not to an extent you'd notice unless specifically pressing the key slowly to test it. Triathlon for both......is that possible?. Thanks in advance...
They run with Unifying so you can have up to eight devices on one receiver.
Thanks a lot for the info..... ;)
Cómo te fue con el teclado? Algo malo para decir? Como haces con la ñ? . Estoy entre el k375s y este. No me decido, aunque este me gusta más estéticamente
In the amazon and Logitech description it states the battery is 24 months capacity, can you confirm this?
I can't I'm afraid. Being a reviewer I had to test something else after this review. I can't long term test everything, unfortunately.
That's a shame, how odd.
Anybody know how the K380 compares to the K780 when it comes down to how the button being pressed feels? Tested K780 in store and it felt amazing but thought it was too expensive. Can only find the K380 in online stores and wondered if it feels the same as K780 or worse/better
The K380 is similar in feel, just a bit cheaper.
I have a MAC. Do they send you the key replacements with the keyboard or is it a totally separate keyboard for MS and MAC?
Did you watch the video before you commented? The keys are marked with both PC and Mac functions...
@@jordanash Thanks I see that now. They are just not in the same order as on my Magic Keyboard.
It doesn;t sounds crazy at all, I understand. I did actually, but after about ten minutes I was used to it. Thank you for the feedback.
Great review. I must ask, since it is very flat, is it conformable to use?
Yes, surprisingly so
Hi thanks for the review!
Hey! If I recall the spacing is larger, yes. I found the K380 a bit hard to type on at times, but the K780 was okay.
That's very bizarre, I honestly have no idea what is happening there. Sorry.
Thanks for watching, I hope you get it sorted!
can you have the keyboard removed from the mobile stand?
No, it's fixed.
I purchased the K780 keyboard and the m590 mouse. I did so thinking that I could use them to switch back and forth between 2 PC's but I haven't been able to figure out how to do that. Do I insert a unifying receiver into each of the pc's? Any tips out there??... TIA.
For two PC's, you'd need a unifying receiver in each, yes.
Do you know if there is a Window's button dedicated on the K780 keyboard??
I don't think it's *printed* but there is a key that acts as it. Where it's made for multiple devices, they don't print a certain key on it.
I am trying to connect this to my laptop but can't get it connected. Is there something I need to do to use with my laptop?
Do you have the drivers downloaded?
Just what I was looking for, thanks!
How fast would you say the switching is? Almost instant? ... not that critical but how would you say the lag is? (I’m thinking to also use it for a gaming system I have )
Almost, yeah. If you're using it for gaming too, it might not be quite as good as just using if for typing.
could i get this with more than one dongle? im trying to get a keyboard that can connect to possibly three different system, a computer and two gaming consoles, and its quite a difficult task
If you get additional Unifying receivers you can. But you are still limited to three devices on the keyboard. You can get software to use the same keyboard and mouse on another system at the same time.
Does switching the device from the keyboard buttons (1 2 3) will also switch the MX mouse you have there on the desk?
Great video!
No, they are separate entities.
Thanks!
you could always use flow to get that functionality. the keyboard will automatically switch with the mouse
Right now typing on it, on my Win 10 PC. Good keyboard.
Thanks Jordan. I am looking for a keyboard for my MacBook, after 'lending' my previous one to my lad. Long time fan of Logitech keyboards and this looks like a no brainer. Cheers!
Glad I could help!
so link keyboard, the keyboard follows the mouse but not the other way around. im quite disappointed by this. I got this keyboard today to work with my logitech anywhere 2s
is this a cheaper version of Logitech Craft?.. can't tell if the keys are rounded like Craft
There's about two and a half year gap between the production of that, to this mate.
The K780s keys are really easy to press. You should have no trouble at all with it.
Can you connect it through usb without any additional software installation?
Yes I believe so.
I am blind and cannot see the video visually. Does the keyboard have macro keys that can be programmed for different functions?
Not on this model, unfortunately.
but where are the Launchpad and other apple keys? Also how are you able to press F1-F3 if games like CSgo requires them, will it just automatically switch to another device?
It has all the relevant shortcuts. But if you're looking to game, this is the total opposite of what you should be looking at.
ooooh I see thx :)
this is not a gaming keyboard . this is clearly for productivity .
If it's a unifying receiver, then you can use it on another PC and connect, yeah. Just use a different profile.
@@jordanash when you say profile, can you elaborate further as I am new to wireless peripherals... I am going from a Logitech g213 to the k780 how do you think they compare ? P.s thanks for taking the time to reply :)
As in the 1,2,3 on the keyboard
I find nothing that explains how to lock the FN so that they function as normal instead of media keys.
Check my pinned comment
Can you pair it to device vie bluetooth and another device #2 using the USB dongle?
I *think* so, but it might be worthwhile emailing them to check.
will it works with two different unifying receiver on lets said device 1 and 2?
Hey Jordan, nice review! Two questions I hope you can answer:
@@jordanash Thanks for answering so quick! I wasn't expecting it would, but would have been a nice feature ;-) Keep up the good work!
It could have inference with other wireless things around your PC. I rarely hear about problems with the receivers to be honest.
Does it have caps lock / num lock indicator light ?
No.
Thank you for asking this question. I like my keyboards to have the light indicators. Looking for a small keyboard for my small hands but really want the light indicator 😁
Beside the number pad and mobile stand what are the differences between this and the k380?
Build quality primarily.
This was a good video, Thank you. However, how can I cancel typing on my phone and carry on typing on my pc screen?
Swap devices using the 1-3 numbers
@@jordanash Thank you.
No problem
Will my iPhone 6's Otterbox wallet commuter case fit on the stand?
How do you screenshot since there isn't a Windows key or Printscreen key?
I'd recommend downloading greenshot and setting a key with that.
Wow! Perfect review.
Thank you very much Jordan.
I also have a question
I have Wacom studio Studio Pro 13
width: 36.5 cm (14.3 inches)
height: 23 cm (9 inches)
total weight: 1.32 kg (2.9 lbs)
Can the keyboard stand hold my tablet? I have a good feeling about it
Thank you! To be honest, it might, but I wouldn't risk such an expensive tablet on it.
@@jordanash thank you so much for the honest quick response, do you recommends another Logitech stand/keyboard-stand that may do the work?
No problem. Does it need to be Logitech, or can I suggest anything? I'd just get a separate stand to go with it.
I love this keyboard, but, could you please explain the best way to capture a screenshot with this keyboard?
I'd download greenshot, then bind a key you don't use to it ☺
Ok, guess that will require some research to download "greenshot" onto my computer and "bind"?
Google Greenshot, download the program, then the key binding is in the software.
@@jordanash, yes, I goggled it and used the Free download, many windows of authorization then no program appeared, but what has appeared are many, many pop-ups on my computer throughout my day.... bother! Now I've got to clean my computer
It must have been a different website then, I've never had that issue before. Hope you can get it sorted. This is the one you want - greenshot.org
what Bluetooth dongle would you recommend me to buy?
Would I be able to remove the keyboard from the stand it’s placed on?
Unfortunately not.
can I pair it to a macbook and a desktop pc? would be nice if the mouse would switch as well
Yep. A mouse like the MX master can do more than one device.
can yoy see the keys (in dark) with light from monitor?
I can't remember how it was to be honest, but given it's not backlit I wouldn't guarantee anything.
Hi was wondering if the phone paired with the keyboard is locked, can it be unlocked using the keyboard?
Yeah, I think so. I'm sure I did that while I was testing it.
Yes, it can :)
Are the f1 thru f3 keys still usable if you don’t pair anything else
Yes.
can you connect to laptop via unifying device, whilst connecting to phone & tablet via blutooth - concurrently? thanks!!
I believe so!
thanks a lot...very appreciated and very neat and informative video!
No worries. Thanks!
Anyone know if there is a multi device keyboard ⌨️ like this with built in track pad?
Yep, google it, I can't remember the name.
Great review, thank you. Do the media buttons work with mobile phones?
Thanks! I believe so.
How to take screen shots using windows 10 on this Logitech k780? Please do reply..thanks
use the snipping tool, I believe it is standard in windows 10
Sorted.. Thank you v much.. bless u.. Regards
Will it work with a LG smart Tv with webOs2 ?
