The old versions of PES are still the best football games ever, with better physics, better graphics, better grass, but they decided to turn it into a mobile game.

The only thing that matters for me and all of my friends is if there will be 2v2 and 3v3 matchmaking coop Waited 2 years for konami to bring it back but we have no hope anymore

Yes FIFA 16 was the peak of a perfect football game. Wish we could get the digital version foe download on PS5. Would rather play that than the rubbish out there today.
5:33 There is actual 3D turf in eFootball as well, but their rendering, especially from distance, isn't very good. One thing UFL deserves applause for is that they have already switched to Unreal Engine 5, whereas Konami don't seem to be in a hurry to make the transition from Unreal Engine 4.

It seems you overlooked that it is online-oriented game, so it is less certain it will have decent offline modes, careers etc, Gameplay looks mix of Fifa and Pes.
Has to start somewhere and offline modes can come in due time once they find a base and have solid gameplay etc. More revenue they can generate, the more they can invest etc

There's little tactical nuance to it, it's a bit too fast and build up play is non-existent. eFootball caters to people who crossed over from FIFA..

Slower paced gameplay actually mirrors real life football. Football is faster at certain points of a match but for the most part, real life football looks like old school PES..
Nailed it. This exactly 👍 Football is breaking down your opponent and sure a quick counter can work but alot of the time it's working it around and finding the gaps etc. I like that aspect and not just back and forth nonstop. Hope that helps ☺️
I think what a lot of people misunderstand when we mean slow pace is that it's about movement and transitions. In FIFA, players can pass backwards while actually stopping the ball forward. Or you take the ball on your right and shoot with your left foot in one movement. Not only does it look unrealistic, it also ruins the gameplay. Nobody has a problem when a pass is played by a defender into the path of Mpappe, who takes three steps and scores a goal. As long as it remains rare, of course. That would be fast, but in context understandable. The build up as a whole with no middlefield and wonky mechanics is the problem we have with the speed.

Well, as a 43 years old gamer I really miss the international superstar soccer games from Konami. But what I understand is that these games will never be back because the last years the only that matters is online and licenses. Crap I am getting old
I wish there was a balance between Football Life 2023 and FIFA. I hate the speed of FIFA - I put it on slow mode and turn acceleration, sprint, and passing all down - and I love Football Life's focus on body-shape when passing and shooting, and that players aren't just Usain Bolt-ing around the pitch. But Football Life and PES in general feels non-responsive in tight moments.
Mate,playing eFootball on stadium camera ( even duel ...and not to mention anymore blimp or fan cameras ) the gameplay feels slower,the pace feels perfect ... I think the pace will be slower on dynamic wide camera when the rain and the snow will be available ...The rain is now,but only offline,în fact choosing rain and long grass,it feels a little bit slower .. this was on Pes 21
TBH, FC24 is acade but the only next gen option These days. No other option if you live in the here and now. And i am a pes fan om ISS but what to play now after the efootball mess. Efootball is acade as well and am tired celebrating features like rain which ISS already had and don't forget Efootball is still a singelplayer game. FC 24 is the only game if you have real life friends and want to play on the same Couch. Most basic thing in a football game or?... happy day
I know i am in the minority here but all the frickin bugs aside, EAFC24 ain't that bad 😂 can't believe I'm saying it either. With a few slider tweaks it's enjoyable or at least it will be for me when the game doesn't freeze/crash. Bring on the other footy games too though 😊
madden gives you the option to to change gameplay. from arcade, competitive and sim. dont know why ea dont add to that fc would be able to please everyone that plays the game
Big difference graphically that is working for UFL is that a year ago they started shifting everything over to unreal engine 5, which has helped polish the game, where efootball are dragging their feet a bit with unreal engine 4.
I'm far from a FIFA fan. But the defensive positioning is miles ahead of UFL's. I hope they'll put in exrta effort in that regard because we've needed a third player in the football game market for so long. I Haven't played FIFA or PES in years even though I've played most of them since FIFA 98 and PES 3

At some point you have to think it’s going to have an impact on EA but right now EA are making the same amount of money without having to pay out to FIFA. You’d think at the very minimum it opens up the possibility for Konami and the other smaller developers to get some licensing opportunities. We can’t all sit back and let EA continue to milk the cow dry without raising the quality of their product

Realistic shooting and passing animations where the player acutally takes his foot back and charges before a pass, not just dinks the ball without momentum. That just ruins it for me in FIFA. Also the players seem grounded here, like they are actually placing their feet on the grass one at a time, not sliding. Hopefully someone can mod a master league/career into this game?

Well feedback can reduce those types of things. Plus we don't know how developed the physics etc currently are so yeah I wouldn't worry to much about that. If the passing is pants, the game will suffer big time that's for sure 🥴

just play the games and try to enjoy it for what it is. it's not that bad. I play both EA FC and efootball and still enjoy them more than any other sports video games or any other video games in general. but that's because I love football and football games are king to me.

UFL looks good waiting for more gameplay and I know they are looking at simulation style football because 90% of the community hate fifa.

How is UFL going to corner the market being online only focused gameplay and your biggest gripe against efootball is game modes. efootballs mechanics and gameplay is hands down the better of the 3. its not even close either. "they havent improved the defensives side"...he says that as you can see whole team rotations on the defensive side lol. you're looking for grass is greener type shit.

I don’t know bro. To me this looks like EA Sports opened up a small dev company and just created older Fifa games. Thats a great way to kill the competition too. Just make a new football game and make it free and include Ultimate Team. If this is true, they’re gonna make even more billions. I don’t trust the developer of this game, too much alike older Fifa games. It stinks to me.

Efootball is a complete joke of a game, eafc24 is the worst yet in that franchise, which is saying something, this looks terrible to be honest, football games are non existent unfortunately, the worlds game is just not represented in the gaming world, should be but isn’t, can’t see it changing either.
just play the games and try to enjoy it for what it is. it's not that bad. I play both EA FC and efootball and still enjoy them more than any other sports video games or any other video games in general. but that's because I love football and football games are king to me.
