I was anxious at first and it takes hard work but it's really fun. Especially if you love what you're studying. Rachel helped me too when I first started uni and her methods actually works. I'm pretty sure you'll do great in uni and you'll be vert happy
@@Mariam9181 Thank you so much for the advice! I think I just need to remember that every one else there is probably feeling the same as me haha. I appreciate you commenting this advice really helps
I start uni in March and it’s my first year! These videos are the biggest help and without them I don’t think I would be as knowledgeable and prepared! Thankyou you are amazing and so beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️
You're seriously such a committed RUclipsr and the way you balance everything is amazing! I absolutely adore these videos and I'm starting Nursing soon so these are so helpful! Good luck this year! xox
Did enjoy the 5 days of a uni focus and have pointed my network in this direction as so many of them are in first year. When I took lecture notes, I found using the class slides a boon as I could a) prep by only focusing on those things in the pre-readings, b) was able to organise my note-taking better and c) was able to recall info better because I had an image to anchor it to. And yes, I think a vid of how you study would be super awesome for us viewers too!
Thank you so much for making this video! I am a first year uni student and I am about to start my Bachelor of psychology (Honours) and I had absolutely no idea about how to lay out my uni work. This was very helpful 💞
Hey Rachel, being an international student, I find your videos so helpful, it would be great it you could also make a video on the study methods. I tend to focus so much on making the notes aesthetic that I tend to lose time on the actual studying. Thanks again! :)
I'm in my 3rd year of psychology in uni also this year! :) these note taking tips are very useful; I would love to see how you further study to retain information because that's where I struggle in particular :') thank you so much for making this series! It has been a big help for a lot of people :)
Rachel your ideas are so inspiring, and they can be used for circumstances outside of education as well... circumstances such as work and volunteer groups come to mind. I don't want to sound negative and go a little off topic, but when I was in Uni there were instances where a student next to me would ask me to repeat what the professor had just said. In the process of repeating the professor's words I have now lost the professor's subsequent parts of the lecture and the student basically put me into the same situation that she was in. My suggestion is that if anyone needs help in filling in any part of the lecture that they missed, the student should ask after class is over if she or he can get that information either then or sometime before they meet at that class again. I've noticed that some students used voice recorders to record lectures and some professors did not have a problem with students using voice recorders. This can help students by allowing them to replay the lecture as many times as they need to get all of the lecture onto paper. Thanks for posting such amazing videos and for being so positive!
Thanks for the advice! I'm going into year 12 and need to balance school, study, dance, boxing and my RUclips channel so this series was really helpful thanks!!
I'm already a graduate and have been working for years but I still watch your videos especially like this one. I wish I was like you back then when I was in my younger years.
I’m starting uni this year and I’m so anxious, but these videos are so so helpful! Could u please do a video on how you study for uni as well? Thanks for all the tips xx
please please please do a video about how you study!!!!! I love all these videos, you do not know how much they help me. I’m still a high school student but i still use all your uni tips to keep me organised.... Love you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
a video on 'how you study and prepare for your upcoming exams' would be very helpful. These videos are very good and i appreciate all the effort you put into them xox
OneNote is VERY useful. When I was in year 7 I injured my right hand and was unable to write for about 2 and a half months, therefore I was kind of FORCED to type up all of my high school notes. My brother uses OneNote as well and he absolutely swears by it. He was the one that taught me to use it. 10/10 would reccommend
I'd love to see how you study! I've been studying at uni for 3 years now (this year is my 4th) but I would find it interesting to see other methods that people find interesting!
Hey Rachel! Thank you for this video it was great! I would really love some advice from you in terms of studying. I do well in assignments but exams seem to be my weak spot. I can recognise that my study habits can largely improve however I just don't know what I need to be doing to really retain the information and apply it through problem-solving and MCQ. What are your best study tips for exams!
I'm going too be starting my GCSE next year but I need help for organisation as i'm going shops tomorrow. So I want too put all my revision notes (which are in lined paper from notebooks that i rip out) in binders. I'm going too have binders for each subject and I want too know if I should keep my notes in individual subject notebooks or store it in the binders. But if I put my notes in notebooks then am going too still need a binder regardless as I need too store worksheets in there but there will only be a small amount of worksheets that I store in my binders. So what do you think I should do? Thank you for helping! Hope I explained it well, but what would you do if you was in my shoes?
I never know if I should take notes during class or just at home. And if I should take notes while I read the textbook chapters, or if I even need to read the textbook chapters. It all depends on the professors teaching styles so the beginning of the semester is tough figuring out what methods gonna work the best.
I'm starting Uni this year and I am so anxious about it and these videos are helping so much. Thank You.
Emily Mills oh nice! I hope u have fun! What were u thinking of studying?
