So these lyrics are my reasoning and interpretation of "Keppekishou"
(I over simplified some of the lines, so I highly recommend
looking at other translations to really understand the song!)

If it is the same boy from the lost ones weeping, he thinks really critically about everything. Like in lost ones weeping, why is our school system so harsh on children? And now clean freak with why are humans so greedy with everything they have and receive?

I don't think they are the same person but they happen to look similar.
Teleduni the boy in lost one's weeping committed suicide at the end. ( You know in Japan people take off their shoes before suicide, and at the end his shoes were off)
Actually, in lost ones weeping hes pointing out how no ones really there even if they say they are.
The more I listen to this song, the more I realize that this is the story of a depressed boy. He wants to have friends, maybe a lover, but everyone is unkind, so he tells himself that the human race is evil. As he falls deeper in his depression, he starts to clean everything. Everything must be clean. He tells himself he is pure, not showing any emotions. His past self, from before the depression, still is there, but he thinks he was not clean, not pure, so he throws the memories away. ...This song is amazing.
This sounds like OCD.
Literally, people who have OCD clean everything when they're stressed or depressed.
But I think this song has a much deeper meaning.
The boy doesn't want to become like all the other humans, greedy, selfish, mean, hypocritical, egotistical... he's telling them to 'stay away, I want to be clean, don't dirty me with your deeds', because he's clean, he isn't like all the others. But if he's swept into the drama and hatred of the world, he'll be dirty.
Sabine Lesher I think its about how he relates "Feelings" to the term "Messy" or "dirty" like he's crumbling up all the times he tried to fall in love but can't so he throws or gives up on them.

I think everyone is getting the purpose of the song wrong. It's a funny thought that it relates to Levi, but I see it differently because I can relate to it better.
It's about a boy who is disgusted with society, and wants to steer the immature drama away from him (keep clean).
The flower-headed people represent how he thinks of the people around him; like flowers, pretty and nice to have around, but useless and troublesome in the end. Also, they hint at the fact that the boy might have been betrayed before, as the flower people also example how he thinks people seem nice and caring at first, but soon wilt into something ugly, like wilting flowers.
The pink girl represents his desire to have someone who cares for him, and feels the same way as he does, but thinks that because of the big egos that everyone has, he'll never find someone like him. He also seems to tell his sad story to people he thinks are friends.

Hmmm.. Seems everyone thinks the song is just about depression. I think it is more so just about the truth. It isn't just depression, but a kids realization that we as a human race has become filthy with nothing left to really show. We are selfish, thrive off war, hating each other and etc. If he is depressed, it is because things can't just be "simple" which I think is where the "when a boy and girl want pure relations" because everything is always made into something bigger. We can never just let things be and always gotta find a way to throw hate at each other. So the clean part is that he doesn't wanna be like that nor does he wanna deal with the "dirty" things which are people and the world we have cultivated. One of the many vocaloid songs that are just way too real for their own good x.x Like "Goodbye", "Lost One's Weeping" and "Rolling Girl".
I really wish people would shut up about Levi, okay we get it Levi is literally a clean freak but the context of the song is very different to just liking things clean. We should all be praising this song and Juby's beautiful voice instead of going on about an unrelated anime.

THEORY TIME: I think that this IS in fact the boy from Lost One's Weeping. I think most of us understand that L.O.W. was set in an elementary school/classroom. I think that this is either that same boy, now in middle school or his early years of high school. It's possible that all the stress he had from his elementary days resulted in him getting social anxiety. After a while he got a lot better at Japanese, and with his understanding most of the characters, accepted books as an escape or safe guard for him. His anxiety is so bad that he cant even be touched by people who want to befriend him. What if now, he is having such bad thoughts with his crowded school that he's thinking of suicide again. He's not so much thinking about the fact that growing up is a pain, it's that society itself is a pain, and he doesn't want to go through all that?

Clean Freak is made by Scop and Lost One's Weeping is made by Neru and it's really rare for characters from songs made by different producers appeared as cameos, they will usually use their own characters from their own songs (like for example, people are saying that the girl that appears in the video at 2:55 is the girl from the song Irony, another song made by Scop, the producer for this song)

I understand this song as not really trying to clean himself but humanity in general because its such a terrible thing, hence "no one can save the human race" and the song pokes fun of people such as "we dont need these unclean feelings, they'll just bore a hole in me" to show how the character doesn't really think these emotions that people have are useful and they are actually boring. Especially the part where its "we're all human you say bluntly", that shows how the character believes people say that as an excuse to mess up. Throughout its a lot of poking at humans and human beliefs and emotions but at the end I totally understand the "shutting my mouth i'll quit for now" because of how so many people would say "your wrong for your opposing and boring beliefs"

I think that the main message of the song is to stop saying we're only human. It doesn't matter if we're only human, we need to strive for the cleanliness of our world, we need to pave a path to a world without evil and crime. We can't keep saying that just because we're not perfect we shouldn't try to be. It does remind me of Levi from Attack on Titan in a way, with his blunt perspective of the world. It's either clean, or it's not. And we can either make it clean, or we can just leave it as it is.

Ok my view of this song, the flowers represent ego, because ego is meant to make you look better, but the kid doesn't want drama, and thinks he better clean it all up, so he starts cleaning up the drama, then the one girl saying stop pushing yourself to the edge is a friend who is concerned, than he freaks out and cleans more, than he pauses, and decides he can't swim in a world of ego so he sinks into it. Believe it or not that has also happened to me, I tried to fix everyone's problems, knowing it wouldn't help, then a friend told me, stop worrying so much, take a break 1 day every week, you'll feel better, then I kept on helping people, with even more determination, than another friend told me that they worried about why I'm doing all this, and I drowned in the sea of ego

Ok, about the Levi comments. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop and listen, please. This song is in no way related to cleaning, however, I can see how looking upon the title one can relate to the Captian. This song is more or less about humans and how "unclean and filthy" they are (rude, tainted, rotten). When the speaker says "Drown in the flow of big ego" it could possibly mean that ego's are the "evil" thing in this world that will define a person as selfish or kind or they will let the ego get in the way of doing whats right. These are one of the many examples of how this doesn't relate to Levi and his cleaning 'obsession' (not really sure what to call it). Now, I can still see how it can relate to his personality, The character of this story/ song does, in my opinion, tend to shut everyone out and hide all emotions because of the way people are and stay reserved. Like Levi, he tends to stay more reserved to his past (**spoiler to those who haven't read the manga**) such as having the friends he did make in his early years died due to the titans** ok your good now**). Now, can those who want to comment about Levi look at the comments? See how many comments are about the Captian. Do the readers really need another comment about it? I think that a simple like or reply to another comment would suffice. Although some people may disagree, I DO feel as if this applies to Levi quite a LOT, actually.
Think about it other than the fact there's cleaning about it. The songs somewhere about along the lines of how humanity is extremely selfish, and how people are truly blind. Also with that, how humanity must ALWAYS be better than one another in things (an in general example of this would be the cold wars). Note that the song mentions how people tend to 'go with the flow'.
In the SNK universe, humanity is EXTREMELY bigoted towards the fact that humans can shift into titans. They show that some of the trainee corps members would rather stay in the inner walls of Sina and have their friends die while they ate well, proving selfishness. They also show that when suddenly someone is able to HELP in a non-standard way (Eren), they become extremely judgemental towards that person becoming COMPLETELY blind to the fact that that humanity has a better chance with that new way than they had before. During the argument/announcement of the plan to close off wall Maria many had wanted to flee because they thought the plan was stupid so many followed after each other until Dot Pixis had given them a choice that would effect their lives dramatically.
So given that, you notice how Levi isn't anything of selfish or biased like the rest of humanity. During the trial for Eren he showed how truly terrible and destroyed humanity has gotten against the Military Police, essentially saving Eren. As well he also stands up to others for the better of everyone at a whole, no matter how grateful they are (OVA, Eren reaching for a spoon, etc.). Even being such a great soldier and being so unmoved by others is pretty incredible. I'm sure if you were like him, society would drive you nuts because of how stupid they can truly be, hence how this song relates to him.
It's merely a coincidence that the song had some metaphorical cleaning in it.

We have this thing in my class where we go around to everyone in the class and they get to play a song of their choice. Well, I choose this song and almost immediately people started talking about the anime style and how it was stupid without even taking the time to listen to the lyrics to see what the song was actually about.
I thought that those people were a good example of what this song is portraying about how humans are selfish and greedy and egotistical.
A Random Otaku I think this song does accurately depict that. All they care about is themselves and refuse to understand or listen to something that doesn't make them feel better or powerful (or something along those lines). If anything, they are proving even more that this song is telling the truth and they don't even realize it. Society at its finest. We are definitely a selfish race with nothing more to show and it makes me sick sometimes.

I have a similar situation: In school we use Chromebooks/laptops and each of us uses one. One time the teacher said we could listen to music so i plugged in my headphones and turned on this song. Little did I know the headphones were broken. People heard and started laughing and screaming, "HEY LEMME HEAR IT!" and they heard the whole song and laughed and talked the whole day about how I was a weaboo and how I listened to pieces of crap. As you know, a clean freak (Aka. A neat freak) is a person who is compulsive about cleanliness, and in this song, its used as a metaphor. This metaphor's meaning is that the word is quite dirty because of the negativity and this person realises it and tries to make it cleaner, but it just keeps piling up and coming back to make it dirty again. The paper represents the fact that it litters the place. In movies, animations and even anime, it is shown that, when a student is made to write something or draw something, and they have no ideas, then they just throw it away and their aim is usually off, so it just clutters the floor. This 'clutter' in the song, is the negativity shown by most people nowadays.
