I actually like what the TV sits on. Find a set or two make it even, paint it all one color and the handles all match. Throw a board on top if you want stain, it or paint it to match, it reminds me of a library card thing from the old days. Hope you find your bigger space. Bam!
people call this thrifted but .... i call this "my granny's old knick-knacks." like the majority of my decor is stuff i was either given or inherited from all my grandparents and great grandparents (even my husband's stuff is from his grandparents) the bed frame i currently use is from my mom's paternal grandmother. my brother got the other bedframe from her maternal grandmother. the bedside lamps are from his grammy who passed away suddenly when he was only six or seven years old. i love thrift stores though. but as much as i love them they actually kinda make me sad because i know a lot of that stuff was dumped after someone passed away. the family either didn't want or need it. i know people have their reasons. but in my case i love being surrounded by the heirlooms and memories. and old books? oh those are my treasures!! my family was never really bookish, except for my mom. but i've found some really cool old 1910s up to 1040s books. some are first editions and some have crispy old yellow pieces of paper with notes and spelling lists. some have names of their owners (they had REALLY neat handwriting back then!) When you think about it, our homes are nothing more than little museums of our lives and family histories. or they should be. i personally love these little tours. I don't go out and visit people very often but when I do I can't help but take note of how they decorate. There's definitely a balance though. i have seen clutter beyond belief. people buried in stuff. and i've seen them push their stuff out into sheds to make room for more. I admit that i admire you for living in such a small space for so long. i guess that helps keep things sane. you have to be more selective.
You have a very cute eclectic apt despite the size! 💚 I absolutely love your kitchen set up! Sending good vibes for a more spacious home in your near future! 🥰
Wow. I hope you make more content because I just subscribed. You had me at Nora Ephron. I grew up in the SF Valley in the 60s and 70s. I decorate with doll heads and body parts. I build miniatures and custom dolls houses (for mice and hobbits). And I sell handmade ornaments on etsy. I could be your long lost grandma...probably not.
Brooke, enjoy following you on IG. Your home is lovely. The kitchen with all the vintage jars is my favorite! We have been in our home for 3 years, and only just starting to settle on what works. I love your slow approach to decor in your home.
I've thoroughly enjoyed you IG account for some time and I loved seeing your home! I love how your shelves are styled in the kitchen. I need to find those cute jars! I'm still jealous of that fabulous green chair. 😍
The apartment doesn't look thrifted. It looks warm and inviting with many inherited pieces. Much of the kitchen looks unfitted which is, in my humble opinion, very old European and just what I prefer to standard sterile kitchens.
I lovebur kitchen so much!!!

When I was young and just starting out I had so much fun shopping in thrift stores. God bless you for appreciating old things.
I love the plant in the shower!
Love the honesty! Still cozy and cute ❤
ur apartment is beauuutiful greetings all the way from the philippines
I like to buy old books at the library. They have a store downstairs and I love just snelling it in there, lol. My whole house is almost ALL thrifted.
