Nothing better than a good chunk! The kind that doesn't hurt your hands, the kind where the turf goes twice as far as the ball, I love when that happens at the range and the ball lands on the wedge green and you play it off like it was on purpose.
Aw man I was scalping the fairway yesterday with my irons it was embarrassing. For some Reason I was killing my hybrid shots, never hit them better, farther and straighter than yesterday. Usually it’s the other way around, my irons are pretty consistent while I’ll occasionally kill the hybrids. Beautiful day to play yesterday but the results were odd to say the least. I’m sure I was probably hitting behind the ball, these tips should straighten me out. Thanks.
the obvious answer to this is that irons blade into the turf whilst your hybrid isn't like a fareway wood that will bounce off the ground but rather on impact it will keep grazing the ground as you hit the ball. just from my experience. a solid power shot with a hybrid solid contact goes a strong 200-210 metres, a fat one with a lot of power goes 160-175 still and a soft full contact hybrid goes 160-175 too.
Enjoyed the tip. Being tall, I’m not sure whether to stand tall at address or bend over a bit. Bending over from my hips feels more comfortable. Any thoughts welcome 😊
I'm 6'9" and I always have to bend over a lot. I even have clubs that have an extra 2" added to them. I've found that if I spread my legs out a little more I don't have to bend over as much. Good luck!
my plan is to keep hitting fat shots and tearing up the fareways until my membership runs out OR the club pro decides to give me free lessons as a small investment on maintaining future course integrity without the use of extra maintenance.
tbh, Irons is actually the easiest to master. But it is one of the most critical to find the exact irons that fit you best over a Driver because irons can be your best hope of recovery if your drive doesn't go as planned, and they have a lot more critically involved inside the club than Drivers do.
This is why I don't like people learning from online videos. These are such oversimplifications that someone might mistake their error for another. Someone can have their sternum behind the ball and still hit thins. Also, many people mess up their posture because of bad positions in the swing and setup and just saying stay down doesn't help because they stand up to fix some other problem.
It's easy, you just go to TaylorMade website and select club fitting, from there it should tell you how to contact them. You can also get club fitting from local club if they got one.

It hurts when your aim is hitting a 4 iron 200 yards and you hit it fat. lol
😂 comments are hilarious
I was just having problem with striking the ball! Thanks great vid 👍🏻
Thanks for your comments. I’ve tried most every combination but your suggestion makes absolute sense. 😊
EXACTLY what I'm working on right now. Great advice!!
Needed this lesson.
I’ve been chunking it so bad using my hands I bruised my right hand to where I couldn’t move it and write for a week😅
Good demo... I like the idea of trying small shots to gauge feel & position... had not considered that.
Clear, concise and very informative, thank you.
Going to the range tomorrow morning, going to give this a try. Thanks. 😁
Yes! I have been having problems for years!,
Having a taylormade set this is literally the best video to help!

Bad HABit Golf bro you've said that on every single one of the videos I've watched

Looks easy when you do it...

I’ve chunked 50 percent of my shots for 2 years
Same
Even after 3 pro lessons

Dude probably has a killer robot dance. Only busts it out at weddings

I change one thing then an old bad habit comes back. Fix that, then I’m back to chunking irons again 😂
TL-DR version of this video "dont blade it or Chunk it n00b"
