I've never seen a fluorescent street lamp in the UK. I've heard they're common in rural parts of Japan though. I guess now a days, everyhting's being replaced with nasty, tacky LED rubbish.
We have got fluorescent street lights in the 🇬🇧, we experimented with them in the 1930s and reintroduced them in the mid-2000s and some parts still have them, but they stopped installing them when the LED was assumed to be far superior,
