Welcome to Jumbo. Was there three weekends ago and caught some nice size fish. I only use Jumbo. Do you have an videos on Ardenza, doing a social comp there this Saturday and never been there. Any info welcome. Thanks for the vid.
Hey Paula, I haven’t been to Ardenza but I would just stick my same old hey. Keep the feeding spot going. Who you fishing with on Saturday?
@@whatwecatching.3604 hi Mike, its a social club Brothers Social,
Ronald Jackson who does soutie tackle box is the main guy. Its my first time with them. But they are trying to increase numbers, last month they had about 50 fisherman. Its also for people who do social on their own, this way when you fish with them you get to venues that only clubs are aloud and you always feel safe. They are also there to help the individual. They are on own facebook.
Cool logo!
Nice video
Great Video , have a club comp coming up there soon, keen to check the venue out there prior to the time as I have never fished there, are u able to give further advice on the better spots to sit at on the bank
I fished there this Saturday past and wow, I had a rough time. Caught 3 for the whole day and lost another 3. When you come into Klein Plaas, go to the left past all the trees, the bank will open up, drive down to the first tree, it’s standing alone by the bend that goes left! Fish there, the water is nice and was producing a few more fish.
Nice logo
Logo on buff's!!!!
But nice catch
when is your next vid come out
Hey Jamie, busy editing the next vid💪💪 should be out in the next day or two. Then I am out again to a new spot after the video is out.
@@whatwecatching.3604 thank you mr mike

Hi Ruben, it’s DoubleX extreme abrasion 7lbs line.
Howzit Mike hows the water temperature?
Hey Raishia, so the morning temp was, well, cold but as it warmed up, it was fine, not hot but fine. I didn’t have the exact temp though.

@@whatwecatching.3604 thanks Mike.
I have a quick question for you.
I notice that you mainly use your 10ft tempo as your short rod. Do you clip in or mark your line at a certain distance for this rod and if so on what distance is this?
Do you also allocate that rod for a specific distance, say 60 meters as an example, regardless of the venue you will be fishing at?
Thank you
@@vibhishanmoodley8340 the 10ft tempo I use to fish on short distances, on short distances 30-80meters, the 10ft is a lot more accurate, once you go over that, the accuracy starts to drop.
I pre measure the line out by placing two pegs about 5 meters apart and wind the line around those pegs. You can then clip it in or mark it. Always do a few meters more. So as a example, if you want to fish at 50meters, mark out about 53metets. When you cast, stand 3 meters back from your stand, this will allow you to have extra line for a run.
I always start off with a short and long rod, you have to find the area where the fish are. Normally 1 rod will be at 50 and the other at about 100-110.
Distance casting is never very accurate, there are many factors that play a part like wind, size of ball and so on.
Remember to start you days fishing with softer feed and create a good feeding spot. The fish will get there.
Also check the venue, Rietvlei for example is more of a distance dam, where Vaal dam can be both short and long.
Those little Tempos are stunning rods.
@@whatwecatching.3604 thanks Mike for the detail you provided. Very useful tips here, especially the excess line before clipping in.
I'm interested in purchasing a pair of tempos myself but I would like to get two 12s as I currently fish with 10ft tournaments v1.
I don't have that big of a bank roll to whip out a razor or dc lite. So am considering the 12ft tempos or the new velocities, think it's called next gen II, all I know is that it has some sick looking camo grips.Decions, decions, decions ...
Is there any advice you could offer to assist me before making a decision.
Again, thanks Mike for the content you put out and the interaction.
@@vibhishanmoodley8340 anytime man. So the 12ft Tempos are great rods but they not really casting rods, by that I mean, you not gonna be able to cast fish heads and heavy balls type of thing.
The best advise I can give you, is to go to the shop and play around with the rods, feel how the grips feel for you. I had a set of Shimano rods but I found the grips were to far apart for me and casting was uncomfortable.
I also bought 2 13,6ft Razors which I never use because they are just simply to long for me, I fish better and cast better with the 12.6ft Razors!
So it’s really up to you. See what fits you the best.
What type of reels do you use and what line?
You strike to hard and reel to fast!
Yup, I think that’s what I am doing.
