No worries. I am not sure about others, but mine is working fine until today. I believe a lot of Xtrail owners are also happy with their car, just that they don’t share as much as those unhappy ones
How is it going? I want to get mine but am equally scared of what I have about this vehicle. Although I want to get a 2014 model.

I'm actually looking for a used unit for my mum, eyeing on 2016 2017 2.5L. Been googling about the problems then all these CVT CVT pop up, but i guess like you said, accelerate smoothly treat it gently, replace the CVT oil according to spec then it's quite solid. I think it's still serving you well ? have you changed any AC parts ? compressor or condenser? appreciate your response.
Not sure about 2.5, mine is 2.0. Still serving me well. Close to 170000 km mileage soon. Only changed condenser during warranty period. It’s a reliable car.
Hi. I’m planning to buy one. Can you tell me whether the maintenance is very costly? I ask this because i used to drive a Santa Fe and all the maintenance and spare parts were so expensive
In Malaysia, Japanese car brands spare parts are affordable and easy to find. Maintenance is normal as most car workshops know how to service Nissan cars.

Is that a 2L or 1.6 diesel/petrol? Issues start around 150k km. Not had anything with valve/ECU? 1.6 DCI should be faultless. A bit weak engines? Japanese are usually good built.
2L Petrol. So far no issues on engine, valve or ECU. Engine a bit weak if compare to other brands but it save fuel

Anyway, the 1.6 DCI is made by Renault, so it is not Japanese. Same engine is on a lot of Dacia Logan/Duster/Sandero and it is a very reliable engine
what is the most common problem you have experienced on this car so far?
I have changed the aircon condenser, while it’s still under warranty. Other than that, no issue at all. Just make sure to take care of the CVT gearbox by driving normally, not aggressively. Do not push it once you start to hear the engine growling, it only hurts the gearbox.
What head unit is that ? Looks great
It’s just a local brand android head unit. I think lots of other brands looks about the same
Hi. Does your X-trail having issue/ noise when u drive over humps? Like squeaky noise of bad rubber bushes?
Mine does not. Already changed the bushes and arma
@@AuntyUncle Is it common that x-trail bushes deteriorate quite early? I am having a 2019 model, with only 40k km milleage, and it seems like some of the front bushes (or mounting im not sure) making squeaky noise when driving over humps.
