Auburn is about to make a historic run.
More historic than 2019? They should have won it all. Not sure this team, even though they have a better record, can come together like the Final 4 team did. This team scares me
@taylorrenee4880 I bet on them to win it all at a good price after watching in december. I wouldnt bet on them now when their odds will be inflated. Guard play is worrisome. At least denver jones is playing very well lately. But holloway, donaldson and k d are just total wild cards. Broome's free throw shooting in clutch situations may end up hurting them too. Like you say, hard to trust them.
@@howard2031 The key is what kind of play/production we get from Chad Baker-Mazara, Chaney Johnson and Denver Jones. If those guys can produce like they have late in the season, Auburn is as good as anyone in the country. Johni Broome, Dylan Cardwell, Jaylin Williams and Tre Donaldson (even C Moore) are known quantities. Even Aden Holloway has become a more consistent player. If Auburn can get through the first couple NCAA tournament games, I think the depth could really start to make a huge difference. The 2019 team could shoot the three and guard extremely well (and should have lifted a championship trophy if not for garbage officiating - I'll never forget that missed double dribble). This team may not be quite as prolific from three and may not have the few elite defenders, but unlike the 2019 team, this team has nine or ten guys that can guard very well. It also has big men that can hit from three to stretch the floor. If Auburn can bring it's A game every night, they'll be able to compete with anyone (including Houston, UConn, Purdue, Arizona, Tennessee, North Carolina, etc). If Auburn had been ranked to start the season, they'd have been well within the top 10 of the AP poll going into the SEC tournament. They probably would have been projected as a three seed at worst..but, whatever. Take care of business against Miss St and A&M/FL and Auburn will get an easier game or two to start the NCAA tourney. Just hope Auburn is peaking at the right time and can stay hot from here on out.

*Welp, #55 could've gone straight up instead* of throwing his body into the defender trying to draw a foul. I feel nothing for offensive players who get injured trying to initiate the contact with the defender. I wouldn't mind if this happened more often. My opinion would be not difficult if he was a family member or a friend. Y'all can come for me, I don't mind!

@@taylorrenee4880 It's bogus and I wish the refs would either make it a no call or an offensive foul. I've witnessed people get season ending injuries doing it, and I hope they consider no longer doing it after recovery.
