Hey Gurpreet, for me it's always riding the trend and trailing the SL logically whenever possible. I'm out when the SL is hit, there's no specific % I'm looking for. If the stock is in downtrend for a long time, then major resistances can be taken as targets
Please watch my swing trading video. For positional trading also, I use daily charts & follow the trend but I primarily use weekly/monthly charts to analyse price action for positional trading video. I'll make a detailed video like I made on swing trading recently.
Hey Hemant, Swing trading can't be done weekly/monthly since you are looking for quick trades that last for a few weeks maximum. So, it has to be daily charts. But for analysis to assess how the stock is setting up you can use weekly/monthly. But trade entries/exits should be on daily or lower timeframes.
@@getholicviraj well since he very confidently mentioned in his video that its accuracy is more than 70%, people will assume that he has back tested this strategy already. Now since he has not responded to my message and he usually does to every message,, I guess that makes me think that one has to be very careful these days before trusting anyone claiming such accuracies on their RUclips channel. Yes I will do my homework of backtesting it for sure and the results I have got so far are nor not very encouraging, but the point here is that before making such claims , the person making the videos should have done their homework as well. Otherwise their reputation would be at stake.
Hey Gurpreet, the concern raised are definitely valid. The 70-80% is based on the back-testing I did on different stocks under my radar for last 7-8 years. Now, there must be few stocks for which the strategy doesn't work at all and may change the % drastically if we look at these stocks. There also could be some bias in the stock that we've selected, but I did make sure that we also include instances where it fails and not only showing the successes. I'd suggest you go through the stocks in your watchlist and check for the success rate. We can also take this up in the weekend live session for a healthy discussion which can help everyone. I couldn't reply to you earlier since I wasn't really available last whole week. But really appreciate the comments since they keep up on our toes and even help us learn along the way. Thanks!

The point here is not to put his video under scrutiny. One, if at all interested, can do the back testing himself and conclude before applying it.
