- F1 23 manages to surpass its predecessors on every level. The Codemasters-developed franchise has undergone the performative tweaks necessary to make racing using a controller as input the best that it has ever felt in the history of the series. Visually, the game offers a stunning view of several circuits most fans are keenly familiar with as well as two new circuits added for the 2023 season.
With a continuation of the narrative in Braking Point 2 and seamless progression integration between single and multiplayer challenges and events through F1 World, fans and newcomers will be engaged in F1 23’s offerings for quite some time. While the game could still use deeper customization options, this doesn’t discount the incredible presentation and remarkable effort that went into making this entry the best F1 game to date.

Happens every year on gamespot/IGN etc.. Getting someone who can’t drive properly and doesn’t know their DRS from their front wing to F1 fans and keen sim racers if the games worth getting 😂

Just played the game for about 4 hours. I couldn’t disagree more with this review. I feel this review would have been the same, regardless of the game they put out. The game isn’t horrible, it’s also not going to make any sim racer happy. “The feeling is exquisite”... f1 2023 has one of the worst feeling force feedback that you could play.
I agree. He did not know how to drive the car.
This is a review from a gaming channel, not a sim racing channel. F1 23 is not a strict sim racer. I don't know what you're complaining about.
@@Mike_2501 so? You still expect the person reviewing it to be knowledgeable about the game. Maybe this is a sign that they should hire someone who is a racing gamer.
How valid is a review where the reviewer isn’t familiar with the product? Instead, we get generic sentences about the product as if done by a complete amateur. With superlatives thrown in as a stand in for actual substance, knowledge and feedback about the features of the game.

If anybody here is looking for a review from an avid f1 gamer, I can assure you that f1 23 is a big step up from 22. The handling is so much better, just completed a 35% race at Qatar and the car didn't have any moments at all, including understeer. I barely touched f1 22 but I can already tell this game will receive similar hours to f1 2020 and f1 2021. I couldn't be more happy, even though career mode hasn't been changed, it's nice to have an f1 game again with driveable cars. Hope this helps.

How did I say its unrealistic. Even lando was saying last year the cars were to hard to drive. Anyway,, it's meant to be an arcade game at the end of the day, and I'd much rather be able to do a race with a good car then have to fight it and use flashbacks every 5 mins. Even if you think it is "unrealistic", at least it's playable again...
and 22 being a step down from previous games means there's nothing to be happy about here, it just got less worse

Happy to hear an optimistic review of the "F1 World" features. I had no idea what to expect from this title, since F1 2020 is the last one I played before this installment
how do you do a custom online season with friends, on demand, now? we hopped in f1 world but it didn’t seem like it saved progress after the session ended, and league racing was only set to certain times on race net?
I started a 2 player career and it goes on “equal performance” of all cars. How to it change this?
You can push F1 World as hard as you want. I won't even touch it with a ten-foot pole. For me and many other players, the backbone of the F1 game has been the MyTeam mode for years. And there this year is a huge disappointment. It seems like this year all the recurrences have gone into F1 World, while MyTeam and the driver career have remained untouched.
Driver Career was the backbone, Myteam is still pretty new
I want two player my team or 4 player career or something...wish they did something with those modes

Um it's a fun innocent mode. Just adds a lot more solo content along with the expected multiplayer.

I don't like that for some reason all codemasters games I struggle to connect to thier online servers, I imagine it's because I use a VPN but it's the only company where i have this issue.(cannot connect on Dirt 5 or Grid Legends either). I know I could temporarily disable my VPN but for reasons I am not comfortable doing that.
There's a bug that has made George' Russell have no teeth lol.

Can I have a question? It is as realistic as a real f1 car with the assistants turned off?
I don't care much for the story mode. I want the real F1 feel with the actual teams, not some made up car brand and pilots. I hope the physics and car handling are good. Also, no frame drops and a consisten 60fps, unlike Grid Legends which is a total failure in that respect (it drops terribly, even at 1080p on a 12Tflops XSX, unbelievable).
Whoever is racing in these highlights are worse at racing than me. And that's really saying some shit
I don’t know why anyone would play the game with anything on the screen. You should always drive with nothing on the screen, that’s what the real drivers see.

This is a good review from the gamer perspective. Interesting seeing reviews from both gaming and sim racing enthusiasts. Sounds like by and large this is an improvement over F1 22.

If the game has improved handling for people using controllers, why is the person playing it in the video doing such a poor job of driving the car?
as someone who’s played since 2017: the major gameplay difference is in the super licence system, looks at least right now that it will make online racing a bit cleaner in public lobbies because people are now graded instead of just all put together. I don’t use controller but they’ve finally put a controller steer scale adjuster in the settings, which is something i had wanted for a while and one of the reasons i ended up getting a wheel😂. should make racing against wheel players a lot easier. Handling is miles better than 22, id compare it to 20, where you can still very easily break traction but it’s also very easy to find that limit. on the other hand i find that the braking has been made worse this year, no abs just feels slack and idk how else to describe it. The new F1 life system has been interesting so far, but is incredibly easy, even with the opponent car multiplyer turned to full. took me legit about 3 hours to get full gold everything. Braking points ok, don’t see the point of it but it’s well executed. overall it’s a much more filled game than 22, much less buggy at launch and the cars feel a lot better. considering they were the same price at launch, 23 just feels like a better deal. Cons- Menu music but you can just turn that off😂

Worst f1 game for steering wheel no force feedback at all f1 22 was way better every one who is whining about the car spinning out cant race and need to stop asap.
Unrealalistic AF
Online toxic rammers and cheaters needs performance impacting so after being smashed by a moron you can at least get back to the pits and get fixed otherwise don't bother with multiplayer and you'll be happier.
1. Fixing last year handling & adding a new track is no more than a 19$ DLC. They ask 120$ for the same game. Crazy!!!
2. No PSVR2 while PC has it & while an older game like GT7 has it. That's really a BIG shame.
3. Let's make an experiment for EA & Codemasters: let's give them couple of photos side by side from f1 23 & 22, & see if they can guess which is the new one.
4. It certainly looks they are keeping their efforts for next year new engine. So I will do the same & save my efforts & money.
Best choice dont buy this game pre order it it is crap no force feedback at al feels like a Childs game like the ones yoy bought in the 90's for your Kids with the 2d racing games on it

What on earth is that first 30 seconds? That's not even a non F1 player that's a straight up gaming novice. No credibility.
IT LOOKS LIKE THE SAME CRAP AGAIN you can see that from the way the car is steering, its totally unrealistic, you would think by now you would at least have realistic physics meaning movement but you can see its like driving on icerink again

i reinstalled 21 a month ago. i prefer the handling in it vs 22. theres better trigger feedback (ps5 controller) to know the limit of breaking traction on race starts and corner exits. 22 really seems like it dumbed those details down. i wish ea never got ahold of this game franchise

@@didickcheeseburger codemasters still develop the game. EA is just funding it pretty much, but obviously they’ll have their influence on it because it’s EA owned.
@@blaine319 ea determines the deadlines and theyre willing to cut corners to make the deadlines. codemasters used to take pride in the f1 games but now they dont have the freedom to dictate things like they used to when they were the publisher and the developer

"On every level".... You haven't seen what it looks like on my PC! A complete blurry mess! Maybe my PC isn't up to spec (AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D / RX 7900XT). Trees are "shimmering / smearing" and have objects showing through them like buildings on the opposite side of the map.. braking boards are fuzzy right until you get close to them to name just a few glaringly obvious problems. I would love to know what the BETA testers were doing while they had this game to test!

The driving in the intro was beyond bad, especially so for someone reviewing the game. I wasn't even that bad 20 years ago when I was 10. Yikes.

Yeah I’m sorry but you lost all credibility by the 11 second mark. Taking that corner was just painful to watch. I’m sure the video took a lot of work to make but shoulda had someone else giving you footage of the game.

I spent the the extra money to get the early access. I couldn’t be more disappointed. The handling feels super crappy, and the engine sounds are worse that last years. It’s a major step back
I think something may be wrong with yours, handling is much better and sounds are very realistic now, doesn’t mean better, but more realistic

I'm a bit annoyed that the my team is a cut and paste but the rest of the game seems OK easier to handle more to do etc ....what are your thoughts???
