if I remember correctly in old Catia defore Icem module. Catia have Automotive module. In this module have tools (match curv and other). I think without Icem in old R19 you can make G3 surf without magic changing tension in blend tool (better hand change). And edit CV in Freestyle and Automotive have.
It was called ACA Automotive Class A. It was way expensive but super powerful. They bought ICEM back just before that and started changing things up. I actually worked at ICEM at the time. My guess, they wanted to take over the name more than anything.
