This is exactly why we love our Lagoon 42, as Old Age Pensioners we have done the sailing at 20 degrees lark, now we want to have a bit more luxury, and space, and yes they make a lovely platform to enjoy the small ulavas, we like to go off grid. Looking forward to going out to Pula in a couple of weeks for another 5 weeks sailing around the northern Croatian islands.😊

Hi Nick. In NP Kornati, you definitely need a ticket, whether you stop for anchoring, tie to a buoy, or dock in front of the restaurant. I would also like to point out the problem where restaurant owners want to kick you out if you don't eat with them. I spoke with the park manager, and the restaurant owners do not have that right because you paid the entrance fee to the park. But they try to get rid of you to get the customers who will bring them money. If you let them know that you know what's going on, then they'll leave you alone. But, indeed, restaurant owners usually take care of the buoys, and if you don't know about the agreement they have in the background, they try to remove you from the buoy on such an excuse.
Otherwise, I like your YT channel, and you have great tips and tricks even for a little more experienced sailors. I usually sail in Croatia for 4-5 weeks a year and live in Slovenia, so Croatia is my neighbor, and we always vacationed here, even during ex Yugoslavia.
I wish you and your family all the best,
    Sebastjan

Hey Sebastjan. Thanks for that! Great information to have confirmed by experience. Glad you are enjoying the channel. And enjoying Croatia! I would love to spend some time in Slovenia. I have heard great things and only driven through, never stopped.

Depends on where you are mooring. Mooring fields like Vis you must pay. Moorings at Konoba you do not. You take dinner at the konoba and do not pay for the mooring.

Is it easy in Croatia to book a birth weeks up front for non aci marinas?

Yes, for Marinas it is easy. (Marina Korkyra Korčula, Martinis Marchis in Maslanica, Solta etc). The town piers are not as easy. It is more a first come first serve basis.
