You are absolutely on the money with this review, Rick. I played it at its inception back in the day as Sensible Soccer (peerless football game of its kind) and, 30 years later, as the Apple TV reinvention from a few years ago and, whilst I felt it was good at the start of this new reboot, it lost momentum far too quickly, lacked further development and ended up as a far worse game a year after its introduction. As you say, the AI lacks polish to make it really addictive like the original game, so I too would wait 6 months or so and see if they put more effort into mending these problems and nurturing the game further (mega leagues with more sophisticated management options) and then make a decision on purchasing it.
Any improvements? Also how does this compare to Active Soccer 2023? So hard to find good info or comparisons on these smaller games, everyone has their head up EA's rear end...
used to play the early version that on Apple Arcade (iPhone, iPad and Apple TV and Mac), had much expectations from the steam and the coming consoles version, but seems nothing have changed. will you compare it to the Apple Arcade version? thank you.
Massive fan of SWOS. Very disappointed by Social Soccer. So far I've had a single match of SS24 and it's not looking great. The moment-to-moment footballin' is very disappointing. I'm not such of all of this card based loot box nonsense either. Ironically I'd like to go back to one button for this kind of game.

Can you do AI v AI Simulations in the friendly mode on this?
The camera jumping all over the place because it always follows the ball. Motion sickness galore.
Nice review. Will check this game out.
Do you know how to spend coins in career mode?
Soccer it's fucking football
No, football is 🏈
Its both. Soccer is an English term originally.
Runs like a dog. Hare successfully demonstrated he didn't understand his own formula with SS2 way back in the early 00's.
This looks shite
I was considering getting it for PS5, but this review has really changed my mind.
Looks like it's pretty bad.
