LOL at the stroking and telling yourself not to stroke them as much 🤣I think you should continue to do it if you want to! I've been considering trying to grow some store bought garlic in a balcony flower box I don't really use anymore since i glassed the balcony. And those elephant garlic cloves! 🤯 WOW! All that crap (metal, plastic and glass)... Why do people put crap like that in the soil... Loved that saying, "temporary permanent solution" hehe. The pepper tasting 😆 Drinking water is usually a bad idea. It just swirls the oils around hehe. 👋🦊 I've tried growing rocotos multiple times without being successful, but I'll give it a go again this coming season. I need to know how they taste!!! And I thought the bleeding jigsaw was tasty too. I had 2 plants. One was proper bleeding and the other one looked just like the one in your tunnel. Wormwood?! Will you be making some absinthe? 😄And what was that orange-ish pepper plant on the left side you said you were happy with? Was that also a yellow lantern? I have some seed from both the CCSK 2024 and some I bought from Fatalii in 2020. Might give them a go again 🤔And also habaneros. Your plant made me realise how much I missed growing habs hehe. And Tim's taste of paradise is *not* the least appealing tomato I've ever seen. The fuzzy one (that you couldn't cut the bad part off) was worse! That harvest looked really nice! My total harvest this year was probably around a kilo. All from the plants I put at my parents. My balcony have become completely useless for growing (think I had 5 ripe pods from it this year) due to being shaded by a big ass tree that they won't trim, so think I might have to sneak some more plants to my parents place this coming season hehe.
Been needing an oomph to get up to the allotment what with Whitby goth weekend, gigs and bonfires iv'e not been bothered but i'm gonna go up today after watching this so cheers mate lol.
Fab harvest JB - it’s still a bounty to be proud of! Do pick up all the tomatoes that have fallen or you’ll be picking out unwanted seedlings next spring! You’re giving me palpitations😅😂😂
OH MY GOODNESS!!! Your FOX are so BOLD! We were visiting London for a couple weeks last month and one of them practically walked right up to Mrs. Bowtie at Kew Gardens!!! Couldn't believe it! I never saw it, I had my camera pointed the other way! 🤦♂ I LOVE those peppadew! I grow several plants of them in my garden the past 2 years! Roast them, stuff them, pickle them, ferment them... all so good!! Now, when properly eating those hot ones You just have to eat the whole thing in one go! Seeds and all... so much FUN!!! 😍🥰😍
Those Chillies look lovely, despite the flickle growing season. i would like to know how those pickled chillies turn out. Thanks for the entertaining video. Its a true account of us gardeners lot.. but we still love it.
Watching you trying your chillies was very entertaining! Trouble is it made my lips burn! I’m not brave enough to even try them even though every year I do grow some. Usually freeze them for using in my grannies marrow chutney recipe. This year I have a quickfire chilli doing well, I grew it to give my chef son, but still have it! You inspire me to have a go at some different ones, but ones that are not too hot! So glad that you have had so much pleasure from that special polytunnel. Steve would be proud of you and what you have achieved. Thanks
Could you take a few of your smaller chillies home and put under lights to ripen? So sorry but I was laughing so much when you took a bite out of the scallywag chilli!
Thanks for this JB I've just ordered the Scallywag chilli seeds from Thompson & Morgan. I love mild chillies and not tried any hot ones or super hot which I will be growing next year. Fingers crossed we get the weather.
Just tried my first rocoto/manzano and it’s a very different heat, like a sweet juicy bell pepper, then BAM They have been very slow due to the weather so are most likely hotter than usual, still feeling it on my face after biting into it
Ooohh you are a brave man JB, very entertaining chilli tasting! Over a million SU without any dairy to hand?! Living dangerously there That fox of yours is so ridiculously tame and very handsome. Love your longer videos, a much more entertaining episode to replace the non existent Gardeners World episode this week. I couldn’t see Monty Don tackling a Super hot chilli live on camera 😂😂
i've never grown chilies before no real room indoors to grow from seed tiny garden with no greenhouse/polytunnel gonna find a way to try and grow some this year tho haha Found a place that sold 200 "random" seeds - seriously no idea what's in the packet - it's just from the selection so going to find a way to try and get some of them growing spending far too much of my work hours looking up how to grow Chilies in the UK at the mo lol Awesoem vid Mr JB
@@Big_JHW Hahaha I love it! I don't know what it is but they're just such a magic plant. My start sounds very similar to yours. First year I improvised a greenhouse by covering pallets in polytunnel plastic and it worked really well!
@@JBNat oh my i hadn't considered doing that - might just about have enough space to make a makeshift tiny pallet greenhouse thing.. Ooooo that changes everything haha.. knew i found your channel for a reason (was a little while ago now) thanks matie
Welcome Ladies & Gentlemen, to Masochists R Us... watch as JB again finds breathing difficult, shovelled scales unreliable and funkiness & weirdness abound! You have to admire the willingness to set fire to his palate. It would, of course, be best if we could see Jess laughing at him and rolling her eyes😂😂😂 Great stuff JB!❤
So funny watching you get high on chilli peppers JB. You know, they trigger pain receptors in your mouth, which triggers your brain to release endorphins, the natural opiates that make you feel oh so happy. I'm wondering if that brave little mouse is going to jump over the moon?
Love the longer vid. Chilli tasting - bloody hilarious. Looking forward to the shed build.

I don't know why you wouldn't stroke your plants. I especially love running my hands through herbs.

I know mice are cute but the damage is immense for how tiny they are!

So funny and I love it when you taste test the chilli peppers! I think I should be more adventurous and try a few more types of chilli peppers also!
Wow that is a brilliant harvest, the chilli tasting was so funny 👍🌶️
"I'm absolutely cream-crackered"... LOVE IT!
Rhyming slang for knackered, I suppose? 😀
A massive chilli harvest there, and so funny watching you eating the hot ones. Thank you for your long video it was entertaining.
Well done for a bad weather year you did well,. Have yogurt for next chilly taste. Thanks for your video totally enjoyed it ❤🌶️🌶️🪴☘️☘️

You need to dig up the Dalia tubers and store them over the winter.
Good show, cheers JB
Tasting chillies is always an experience! Jigsaw looks interesting, I have some for next year. Primotali Red tastes great!
That chilli took you by surprise J B
It really did!
The KSLS goes pale when it ripens beyond yellow, IIRC. Lovely size and shape on the fruit though.

15K ... nice 🎉
Love the longer videos, is it better for the creator if we watch all the way through in one viewing or come back to it? Often wondered that.
@@A1allotment I don't think it makes much of a difference to us to be honest so just do what works for you!
The scallywag chilli is around 80,000 on the scoville.
I ate half of a habanero.. wow never again!! 😂
Great video JB :)
Thanks! 😀
Thanks for an interesting deep dive on chilli varieties. But please, how do you spell "andowpackydorma"?
hahaa sorry I usually put a list in the description! That one is 'Antep Aci Dolma'
@@JBNat Thanks!
Thanks for asking that question, been thinking the same as not sure what to search for for next years seeds 😊

As far as i know, wormwood is meant to get rid of intestinal worms, not sure about insect type pests.

Hi from Ireland tfs sylvi
If you don't stroke your plants, are you even a gardener? 😆 Seems totally normal gardener behaviour to me! 🫳🏻🌱🌱❤
