      jerry! Where ya been?!?!? Thanks soooo much for your comment. "Banjo fundamentalist" sounds dangerous, but if you're going to be a fundamentalist of something, I suppose "of the banjo" is best (as usual!).

      Hmmm....a slippery nail is a good thing! You want that nail to slip right through the string while you strike. Does this make sense? If not, send more details!

    How much space is between your strings?

      I don't know. It's not something I've spent much time thinking about. Any modern banjo bridge works fine for clawhammer. To build accuracy, make sure your mechanics are sound and that you're doing lots of slow reps without the fretting hand being involved.
