If anybody is on the fence between this one and a less expensive version that you don’t know the build quality….. go with this one. As a Skoolie owner I can tell you that if your rig is not built well…. Things will rattle loose and tumble down quickly. Great job you two. !!
This was a lot of fun to watch. You guys put a lot of love into this, and that’s not even touching the camera and editing work. Whew! Ya’ll were BUSY!❤
I have a 1999 Ford Econo van oh I work and live in it 90% of the time and I really appreciate your tips Jay is a clever guy I’ve been watching for two days on and off that was cool in your bus days I don’t know how you don’t kill one another ha ha I’ll keep watching good luck
looks good! I've seen a few people starting custom van build companies over the past few years and slowly they disappear! it's an expensive business not only for the builders but for the buyers. I hope things work out for you.
Very good Job. If only I was twenty years younger. Jay your such a talented person and Kels you are his inspiration. Good Luck With the Sale I hope it is soon.
This was a thoroughly satisfying van build video! Your talent and passion show in the beauty of this van. Also, I watched the van tour and it's gorgeous 😍 Love the pops of color and balance of white and wood 🙂
hey, hows it going? i want to say that JESUS the SON OF GOD is the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE, and trough believe in JESUS you can be clean of your sins and be SPIRITUALLY ALIVE! so you wont go to hell but too heaven
A lot of people just don’t have the skills or experience to build out a van from scratch. And no, not everyone can learn to do it. But they might still want a van like this and have the money to buy one because they are really good at their “day job” such as marketing, writing code, day trading, etc
@@RustyCas999 bro i ain't sending no hate. its just my personal opinion. But fr, anybody can learn if they really want. But for ME, I'd want to buiild my own van. But there are others who doesn't. I don't really care.
@@RustyCas999 A lot don't, but also, a lot do have the innate ability to learn this. I am still shocked by how nicely my first woodworking project turned out - thanks to consuming a ton of step-by-step content and "how to use this tool" stuff. My only advice to those taking and building project is to absolutely 1000% focus on safety first. master all the safety rules and skip none of them. your build might end up janky, but at least you'll still have all your fingers, both eyes, etc.
IF you sell the van for the $100k asking price have you worked out what it works as for your hourly rate$ For example, if you clear $10k and it took 1000 hours to build then your hourly rate is $10. If you're going to run this as a business then you need to know this kind of stuff.
I disagree with this comment. I think ROI is more important. Say you bought the vans for 40k-60k, convert just one a month with roughly 10-15k worth of supplies, sell them for 100k then that’s $25k-$50k a month. I wouldn’t think about the hours you’re putting into it. The moment you treat it like a hourly job you’ll take yours guys obvious joy out of doing what you’re doing. Although I’d sell them for more than $100k this day and age. Vans like these are freaking expensive rn. Not looking to argue just think the opinion I had was a valid and worthwhile mention.
Everyone and their mom can and IS building vans now because there’s no originality in it anymore. Ppl are just buying camper products and putting them in a van. It was special the first few times. But watch enough videos and you will see the same vans over and over and over.
Yeah your talking more in the region of $180-$225 000 for a newly converted sprinter camper so don’t you worry your little self about their profit; trust that it’s plenty and look at the enjoyment of the pair of them❤️
@@serolog2if you begin to resent your business, you won’t want to put the hours in that a passionate person would. Also to add to the original comment, if they did 12 hour days everyday for 30 days (1 month), then they’ve done 360 hours each. £25k-£50k per month is £35-£70 an hour each. That’s VERY good.
Kel's n Jay you guys are amazing. I love the previous video where you showed the basement. That sir was an amazing impressive build. 10 gold stars!!💜💜💜
I know this comment is a few months after you did this, and hopefully it has sold now. Probably our best converter in the UK, is Van Life Builds. You should check their vans out for some inspiration, as I've not seen any US converters do anything similar. Great build and all the best.
So very beautiful so proud of you both you are a very special couple the perfect team your videos brighten my day always thanku so much love an God bless always from Cyprus x
What a very impressive conversion. When finished with tanks full, provisions and clothes loaded with driver and passenger. Is it anywhere near its max gross weight? Im doing a conversion soon and just wondered what to expect weight wise. Many thanks for the very interesting, educational content. 👍
I love watching van conversions into tiny homes! GREAT WORK!! I am also trying to find others who can reach out to this awesome 76 years young woman who could really use some help with insulating, framing, and a means of showering, etc in her van. She has been living in her van full time for 2 years now and only recently got a portable air conditioner, but I dont think she has enough solar to run it very much each day. The same with heat in the colder months. With the rising cost of everything she couldnt make it on a fixed income and had to go back to work to get the necesseities to survive in the van. So please, if there is anyone out there who can provide any assistance to her or if you know of someone in the LosAngeles area who can help her with anything please do so soon, as the weather will only get hotter as we get the summer months. Here is a link to her shoutouts and a walkthrough of her van. L.A.V.A Lindy's Awesome Van Adventure ruclips.net/video/DCBMU4EsQSU/видео.html
Hi, I greatly enjoyed your video. However, what impressed me the most is the trim around the read doors of the Sprinter Van. It is the last thing that I need to do and I am looking for some help on how to make this look nice. I had purchased a passenger van and threw out all the headliner. Well, now I need to build some.
I think building the electrical system (and probably the water) on the bench makes a lot of sense. The goal would be to make it easy to disassemble and then reassemble in the van, because chances are you’re going to need to repair or upgrade it eventually. Also, the frustration of building something in a difficult environment (close quarters, hot, etc) does not result in your best work. Thanks for this idea (probably pretty common, but I’ve just not seen it done like this).
Beautiful build! I know that all of your hard work will pay off soon. 🤞🤞 Pippa & Pixie are looking forward to the next project I'm sure. 💞🐈🐈 -Troy & Aimee

Great work. A common sense advice: It is always a bad start to try to cover your expenses selling the product overpriced, you should do exactly the reverse, sell it cheaper first and then the sales will come so you can afford to rise the price. My brother does exactly the same error with his start-up and he wonders why he is not selling :D
They're not bulk producing stuff to sell to a mass market. One month to build one product for a limited market, and your advice is to not even cover expenses? Lol

This was a lot of fun to watch. You guys put a lot of love into this, and that’s not even touching the camera and editing work. Whew! Ya’ll were BUSY!❤
You can now buy tile effect boards for the shower cubicle, they are waterproof, no tiling grouting and they are considerably lighter.
Wow what crazy amazing build hope you guys are doing great in your business adventure! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
