Nice deck. The user adjustable bias is there for a reason though and reducing the bias on the type I tapes you used probably would have given you better results.
Oh and... This is the second video of your I've not been able to, "like". Better contact YT and tell them, IM A CRAZY PERSON WHO IS LYING TO YOU ABOUT SHIT NO ONE WOULD EVER LIE ABOUT. Shame on YT for being so disgusting. Shadow subs, can't likes... Lame AF YT. Until something better... Much prosperity and peace my friend! 🕊️
Yes, HX Pro is a frequency expander, Dolby B, C & S are noise reduction, if you want less hiss you select them when recording, but you will have to listen to the tape using the same type of Dolby. I rarely use it, since I have many decks and Dolby doesn't translate perfectly from one to another.
@Fubar hiya mate I've just purchased one of these decks, maybe a silly question but do they have a remote as I see a remote sensor above display ..if so do you know what the rc model is and also i need a remote for a Denon dvd/cd DN V110 if you have any knowledge of these I would be very grateful cheers Derek.
Hi Derek, yes, it can be remote controllable. No clue on the exact remote model but any Denon remote made for a tape deck should work, same for the dvd/cd. If you are a big remote fan you could go for a Logitech hub or Broadlink RM, you can find remote profiles made by other users in there for most devices.
@@Fubar06 For this type of cassettedecks for internal calibration I use a IEC2 tape. I give on level and on Bias 1db more on tape. You know many cassettes lacking a bit on level and high frequency. So this helps a bit for more shining.
@@Fubar06 I never said it wasn't, but as a personal preference, I'm not fond of Denon decks. I only had DRM-800A and DRM-710, decent decks, but I personally like other brands better.

You should have went with the Denon DRM-600 records and has an awesome playback

Sick transitions on the video. What video program you using?

Thanks! I appreciate it! The software is called Filmora.
Just picked one up today. Making a squealing sound on play. Might need to open it up.
Maybe it just needs some lubricant :)
@@Fubar06 I changed the belt and ran it for a few minutes and it's silent now. I think it may have been sitting in a cupboard for years. Great sound.
In recording mode is needed to use dolby B (or C), in the same time with default HX Pro, for better results in noise reduction when playing that tape?

Попробовал писать без включенной Dolby - сильное шипение, особенно в паузах!

I have one! DRM 555 !
Nice!
Вы им довольны?
on display not showing what type of cass playing like DRM-540?
Ну и ладно. Невелика беда.
❤️❤️❤️
It's a decent deck, but a lot of plastic. The problem of not shining is often that the internal level and Bias calibration is not correct.
That is probably it, but it's not easy to calibrate a 2 head deck for more than 1 tape model (per type), sadly.

I never liked this model, but it's subjective.
I'm not a Denon fan in general.
It is a decent deck and honest for the price you can find it for, but that's it.

Я такую купил за 60$, за эти деньги ранее записанное звучит лучше многих других недорогих....
