Did you know? The scene with Saint-Just putting the cigarette in Nanako's mouth is probably a metaphor for a... kiss! Look at the scene, rei puts her hand on nanako's eyes, nanko moans and looks at the close-up on her hand, it's look like as an erotic scene
My favourite episode, a real dream like the title. As nanako, i would stop the time in theese scenes, i make timeless that morning, the unique moments that nanako and saint just are enjoying themselves together. Nanako that says to saint just 'i love you' is fantastic, wonderful, romantic and very moving. They would have been the perfect couple...great nostalgia...but fanfictions exist...so nanako and rei forever together 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
this anime could be a REAL masterpiece, if it weren't for the last 6 episodes which were totally heteronormative and full of implicit lesbophobic lines from second characters about what "true love" could be, indirectly invalidating all Nanako's true feelings for Asaka Rei in almost the entire series...
I just finished watching this series yesterday AND THAT IS LITERALLY WHAT I WAS THINKING AFTER FINISHING THE LAST EPISODE But I still loved this anime , the anime speaks about a lot of sensitive topics , and the characters are full of their personalities I love it
The only thing I’m okay with is the fact that the other person who Nanako ended up falling in love with never had their gender specified. The subtitles might say that she has a boy she likes, but the actual Japanese uses a gender neutral pronoun to refer to this person. I’m just going to assume she’ll fall in love with masculine girls with the ‘scent of a man’ in college as well!
If the mangaka madebthe sequel of Dear Brother probably Nanako called herself "Ma Cherie la popee" or "Ma cherie-sama" as senior sorority, I'll be positive that she kept the memory of Rei-sama(spoilers), and she's never used Rei-sama's hysteria, like this video for example (you know smoking)...
Saint-Juste is a girl, and Nanako fell in love with her, literally they are lesbians... however their love didn't last long, I won't spoiled the ending of this anime(youust not read the manga, because it's more tragic than in anime)
The french dub changing "I love you" by "I will never smoke again" was one summit of humor in this show 😂

One of my favorite episodes too. Her spontaneous yet painful love confession to rei is really sweet.
Mines I think is 23 maybe? The one with the “kiss”. Miya-sama real motivations were laid bare! It was so dramatic.
@@mwilliams7511 this is the 18 episode 'in a dream'. The episode with the kiss is the 25 titled in italy 'rossetto scarlatto - scarlet lipstick'

Fr and those lines weren't even in the manga

Дорогой старший брат. Шедевр! И чудесная Рей Асака
What did she put in that cigarette bro 😭😭
I am laughing so hard stop 🥴
Sorry, Didn't looked at the characters i was mesmerised by the Lotus in the beginning.
Is Nanako crazy like she can't smoke it's bad for health
I thought the same thing while watching that scene
@@senaarslankurt8864 i think the animes set in like, the 70s, 80s, so yoloo
She is infatuated with Rei
In the manga it was released in the 70s, in the anime release is in the 90s
She knows that but she was too in love with Rei that she wanted to get her approval hence why she tried to smoke
which episode?
She’s dating her boyfriend with long hair and he’s doing badly to her thoughts!
Boyfriend????
Is a girl...
It’s a girl btw!! Really love these two
