Been loving the entire series. Well done with the restoration, can't wait for the next installment. Your Grandkids are very lucky to have such a clever grandad.
Always great to see another upload from you Pete! Great progress on the restoration but also I have noticed the quality and production of your videos has really gone to the next level. The editing and production of this video is fantastic!
You must have heard me yelling at you in my head to make more rather than stopping with just enough, the extras came out great, did you find any major flaws, pockets of voids that made you choose one over another? also, your a great dad or grandpa, letting the kids play and interact with you while you are working! Keep it going Pete!
Only flaws were surface dips due to shrinkage. I didn't allow extra height for risers in the mold to help prevent that. I was trying to avoid purchasing more of the silicone. I was trying to keep it to a single sample kit. That is really the only thing I can think of that could have been done better. Thanks for watching!
Great video Pete! Glad you cast extra ornaments! For a name I think Phonex Rocket Ride. Or just Phoenix. Because it has definitely risen from the ashes!
Well, I don't want to be the devil sitting on your shoulder, but.... the link is in the video description...LOL I have to admit, I've purchase more than a few things I didn't need just because I saw someone use them on RUclips... I really want one of those inductive coils to remove stuck nuts, and one of those solder gun looking contraptions that you use to insert hot staples into plastic to repair cracks... I don't need either of them.. I just want them... OH! and one of those laser rust removal guns! actually that could be really useful.
it lasted much longer than I expected. From the very beginning I had little bits of the mold breaking off. But it seemed to get to a point where it stopped. If it had kept going like the first few castings I really didn't have much hope.
Akima : You can't call a planet "Bob." Cale : So now you're the boss. You're the King of Bob. Akima : Can't we just call it "Earth"? Cale : No one said you have to live on Bob. Akima : I'm never calling it that.
Nice update Pete and skilled work! I was getting ready to message you as not been updating channel, was worried. Perhaps "Sky Blaster" as a name? Take care!
Thanks for your concern. There was just a lot going on around here since getting sick last November, taking on some additional classwork and everything falling behind. Glad to be back in the shop. I will add your name suggestion to the list!
The design of the cars, even with all of the adornments, is rather balky. I would suggest making the cars two tone with the dividing line being the bottom of the door. This breaks up the design and will make the car look skinnier and sleeker. As for color make the top a cream white, while the bottom could be red, purple, bronze, or even sliver. As for a name how about "Cliff" the hero from the movie Rocketeer.
Tackling some reproduction bling for our carnival ride restoration using the molds we made way back here: ruclips.net/video/2P2e_KQAOrM/видео.html
That sounds like you’re pouring a cup of coffee or tea
With all the work you’ve put into
It you should call it the Rondeau Rocket!
I appreciate the vote of confidence but I'm not sure that rolls off the tongue any easier! LOL
OMG, the cute tax at the end was great. Really superb work on reproducing this part. Am following along with great interest.
Thanks so much!

Glad you like them!
Ther grandkids at the end were great!😃 (This is coming from someone who does not like kids much).
Thanks, they enjoy their shop time... They don't actually let me get much done when they are there, but I don't mind.
Dang what a cool project. Beautifully shot as well.
Thank you very much
"Today is not that day" - I have used that a few times in my life... Love your videos
thanks!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
In your neck of the woods, you need a pole barn. Fantastic job on the casting.
I truly do

Thanks for the idea! I will add it to the list!
Great work! So glad the mold lasted and smart to make some spares.
Thanks! it would have been quicker to not make the extra, but long term I think it is the better idea.
Those castings came out really nice! I have no need for one of those electric furnaces but I sure want one now 😅

some people call it the Space Cowboy, some call it the Gangster of Love, some people call it Maurice...
That's exactly what I had in mind when I said that. LOL
Glad that the mold held up for you. This ride is gonna look amazing when you are done Pete.

Getting exciting Pete
I love this channel so much. I’d love to just hang out with Pete and make stuff. Also, can we call the ride “Neil” as in Neil Armstrong?
Thats actually the second vote for Neil.
@@PeteRondeau Settled; plurality rules!!!
Good job on the ornaments, since it is a rocket ride and pretty old I’d name it “retro rocket”
Thanks, I will add that name to the list!
So, now you have many more Holy Grails :)
That ride is a Bernard if ever seen one.
LOL, I'll add taht to the list
Maye print the pdf out for your grandkids to colour in!
I might give that a try!
Pete-go-round
I hope the next video you do is building a pole barn
I would love for that to be the case too, but unfortunately that isn't in the budget at the moment.
With those gorgeous hood ornaments- how could you not call the ride The Airstream ? Paint it shiny silver/chrome!!
Thanks! I will add that name to the list. Not sure how I'm going pick at this point.

I'd go with "Uncle Pete's Red Rocket Ride"
LOL I'll put that somewhere near the bottom of the list Brett.
I think it would be cool to call it the Apollo 11.
I will add it to the list!
Hi Pete! I was just wondering where you've been yesterday. Great progress on the casting! I think Roger is a good name for a ride. 🤣
It has been a rough couple of months around here. So glad to be getting back to working on it!
@@PeteRondeau Sorry to hear. Hope all is well now!
Call it: The Interstellar.
Robert the rocket ride
Rocket Swings
OG Pete been around the block knows his stuff teach grandkids. One day they inherit dope af shop
Call it the flying potato
It does kinda resemble a potato, even with the extra fins I don't have on my drawing LOL Maybe paint it brown with butter and sour cream.
🎶 a potato flew around my room before I went to school 🎶
Why not call it neil armstrong ? He was the first purson on the moon

“ASTRO”
I will add to the ongoing list
Why not Starflight as a name for the ride, after a character in my favorite book series Wings of Fire.
I've put it on the list, thanks!
