@@umnikos Its NOT bad level design. Its GREAT design. Right from the start you know theres gonna be a trick to get it to work, but when you just can't see it till a video shows how simple it is you feel like a total tard, but in a good way.

I feel really irritated about this one because I realised what the deception was, but just couldn't get the angle right on the blue beam. Somehow I messed up the easier part of the puzzle.
Damn ... I had everything figurated out , I even thought about going back with the blue laser but I was sure that I had to go through the blue barrier at the end. Deception.
Dude. I played through this game three times. The last time I quit around this puzzle because I couldn't figure out what was missing. I almost gave up AGAIN this time until I caved in (so gave up I guess!) and looked up solutions. *I DID NOT SEE THE PLATFORM IN THE AREA WITH THE RED BEAM OMG* I think I didn't see it last time either. and I have no idea because it's literally. right. there. TY!

I got it by redirecting blue from the puzzle directly opposite. Now I'm not sure if I solved it or not. :-p

***** Stars do require stuff like that but this is a normal sigil and it had a solution within the boundaries of the puzzle.

I was stuck in that puzzle too, I slept over it and found a solution myself. I went into puzzle "Bichromatic Entanglement" and took the blue ray from there into the "Deception" puzzle to activate it. imgur.com/a/lh9kD
I tried to find the solution in the section you didn't use at all. Rather than rerouting the blue line back through the original path, I tried to reroute the red line to the final path alongside the blue one. But that didn't work obviously, because as soon as the red line stops, the rest of the path is blocked too.
I know this is an old video but I have a question, I finished that level on my own but I ended up here because there's something I didn't understand : is the second blue button only here to distract us ? Especially given that when you walk into that part of the world he specifically said something like that "everything he made has a purpose"
+W4lui I have yet to find a purpose for that second blue button i been trying to figure out ways to incorperate it but i think that its purpose is to screw us over lol

Holy fuck that was a simple solution. I literally spent 40 minutes fiddling around with the lasers thinking the 2 stairs were the solution. Hahaha.

I took the idea of deception one step further and managed to steal a blue laser from the puzzle directly opposite to it.

This was a clever puzzle. Managed to figure it out, took about 30 minutes thought. Actually the name "deception" lead me to think backwards

laser puzzles were confusing as hell, first person perspective does not let you see the bigger picture
They were not kidding about deception, kept wanting to go forward never once thought of just taking it backwards.

I played 100 hours of Baba Is You which has no red herrings, so I got stuck on this puzzle assuming all elements must be used
