Hi Luke, thanks for this detailed review. Much like yourself I’m a short fella; 5’6” and weigh about 69kg - slim build. What waist size would you recommend for the Casatlantic trousers please? I have been looking at their pleated styles as well
Hi mate, I’d say to go with your normal waist size. I found them pretty true to size and the size guide on the site is really well put together so that’s definitely worth a look at too.
Im not sure if they have it immediately visible on the website, but i know they have a whole page on there about how the brand was founded and the inspiration from Casablanca and Nathaniel Asseraf’s grandfather’s military trousers

Love the channel Luke. Do you think these and kitblake trousers always need a turn up? Love the idea but I feel it restricts the footwear
Cheers Michael! Turn ups are a bit of a personal preference so definitely no need to have them. They do say to have them to add a bit of weight to lighter materials so the trousers weight down an bit more and stay in place but if you’re not a fan I’d say to go without.

@lukehodges another excellent video - thank you! I am curious to know what your experience has been of purchasing goods from Casatlantic from the UK. Have you had to settle VAT, customs and handling fees? TIA
Thank you! The experience was great, super quick and easy. They transfer everything into pounds which is really helpful. You do have to pay Import tax though which was via parcelforce I believe.

I was very close to pull the trigger on those trousers, but is a bit more than I feel comfortable spending on clothes.
That’s fair, keep an eye on the preowned sites as they can come up occasionally
I love their style, I've always wanted to pick up some pieces. Are the trousers too small on you? It looks like the fly is coming apart from tension.
I actually didn't zip it up the whole way as I was in a rush, noticed when I was editing 😅
“Theres not really anything about the brand” (pulls up the top menu that says Our Story)… “I might be missing something” 😅

@@LukeHodges Fair point, you did a solid explainer of their backstory. Also gotta say I love their trousers. I have a pair of their cotton Mogador pleated trousers, and just bought the Safi linen ones you were looking at. Best high waisted trousers I've found out there!
Shirts look great Luke. Wouldn’t size down given the shoulders and body gives a more relaxed elegance. This brand is doing some nice things!
