I'm always looking for someone to sling dirt with. I'm fond of saying "It ain't rocket science " but the older I get the more I realize I know more than I gave myself credit. After 60 years of doing something, if you're not good at it by then, you are really stubborn or really slow! Ha! I guarantee finding nothing but exercise and walking over bottles that remain elusive...this current season case in point!
Nice bottle, and congrats on 500 subscribers! You'll have thousands in no time. Great to meet you at the Pekin show. I was the one who recognized you by voice.
The first time I dug one of those Absinthe bottles up was about the time Ebay was getting really popular. The one I dug was a little different with the blob seal saying "Pernod Pontarlier Fils" I recognized it because my dad had just bought a turn of the century French poster advertising the brand. I popped it on Ebay and got $1500 bucks for it! Word got out quick though and the prices went down fast after that when people started to realize that they were a LOT of them out there. Still a cool bottle that, in some cases, can really be crude! Keep on digging and love your posts!
Thanks Paul! Always look forward to your comments. The beauty of this hobby is finding out something new or different all the time. I never even heard of absinthe until fairly recently. Always thought these were some common Euro wine bottles! Just this week dug a plain slick pumpkin but has the oddest lines up the side parallel to the seam lines. Two on each side giving it a very slight and nearly imperceptible edge to it. Never seen one before.
I know you're good for a video every Friday night or Saturday morning you must be doing a heck of a lot of digging throughout the week to put as many videos out as you do if you need help with the overburden anytime I'm not to far away from ya I'm sure your back wouldn't mind a break.... LOL
Truth is, I average about 1-2 digs a month! Most of these videos are a collection of personal videos taken over the last ten years. At 72, I keep saying this is my last season, but I've been saying that for about the last ten years! I mainly wanted to get my videos visible someway as to avoid my old dvd discs ending up in the dump with nobody getting to enjoy them. However, guest diggers always welcome, though I guarantee no great results!
There was a guy back in the 80s who would show up at some of the dumps that we were digging. His name was Bert and at that time was 94. He would just scratch around and pop out the craziest bottles! @@WellAlrightyThen
Well I have been dying to learn how to probe proper ... And the older I get I really begin to realize these old dudes know alot of stuff and it's accurate as well,... Seems to me you might fit the bill ... I would be honored to sling some dirt witcha if you'd have me hit me up whenever for real!!!👍

Very cool! I just checked out a couple of your videos and really like the spider brooch as well as the baby bottle. Hope to see ya again!
