Congratulations! The corolla is a great car and should last you a long time. I bought a new 2018 Prius and it was my first push button start and I was super excited. I still have the Prius and it is going strong, I am sure your corolla cross will, as well. :)
The Hold Button allows you to take your foot off the brake when standing at a red light. You just need to press the brake as you normally would and when the Hold light shows up in the dash in Green then you can take off your foot from the brake pedal. To resume, simply press the gas pedal and off you go. It is a great feature. Enjoy!

The Corolla Cross is basically the size of the old Rav4 now. I think it's a much more practical size for most city dwellers.
