Hallack0 I got GPS on my phone, and I'm talking about tethering watch. so I have my phone always with me. GPS consumes power, takes space (especially the antenna) which can be used for battery. SmartWatch Ticks Absolutely love your channel. Let me know when you find it. And maybe, some manufacturers read the comments (which I seriously doubt) and decides to make it.....
Actually, many of them do ready the comments here. Thinks like changing the twist arm to see time feature where many Android watches used to show just a digital face rather than the chosen watch face have been fixed as a result of many viewer comments. Asking for more watches with this memory LCD screen technology for an always on standard tethering watch should be easy for them to produce, especially if they think it will sell well.
Hi there, Right now I am facing to choose the right smartwatch. But unfortunately I cannot decide. There are some important features for me: battery life, sync messages (read is enough - gmail, messenger, sms), notifications, steps, walking, running, cycling profile, GPS, waterproof (at least IP68), sleep tracking, heart rate sensor measuring (non stop and must be accurate). Altimeter/barometer/temperature/calories would be nice to have - not so important. Last important think is to track distance. caloriesSome nice tracking app where I can see all of these datas will be great. I chose Amazfit Bip and WeLoop Hey 3S. I cannot decide. Which one would you recommend to me? Or do you have a different idea?
Absolutely love your presentation skills sir. If every student gets a teacher like you, education will become so much more fun for them. God bless you sir with healthy happy life and you keep sharing your lovely videos and keep enriching us.
Which smartwatch do you think could be a best option for fitness tracker (HR, BO2, BP) for a women with tiny wrist? I watched your videos: Senbono Y7, V6, and others...
I got the 3S two years ago and wear it all the time - didn't think I would. Unfortunately the battery went from a month down to 4 days out of warranty of course. Is there another watch like this with 30 day battery?
Sorry to hear. The 3S isn't available anywhere anymore. That was a great watch. There's the Neo: ruclips.net/video/BxWiCfqHYF0/видео.html Same company but not as good a watch in my opinion.
If I get it right, WeLoop is actually a Xiaomi brand. I'll keep an eye open for this watch during 11:11 for sure. Edit Well not at the time stamp in the video, but on Singles day :)
Sure, they are called Android watches (as opposed to tethering or dual mode watches). Start here, then begin exploring some of the reviews on this channel: Beginner’s Guide - ruclips.net/video/hvOvGThb3i4/видео.html
I'm planning to get it and use it mainly as track sleep, steps and heart rate measure, so can You please tell: 1) Does the it keep correct time without constant syncing with the phone? For example if You are using it as a standalone device? 2) Are You using preset sleep time and if so, does it start and stop the preset sleep time without having connection to the phone, as a standalone device? 3) If You are using automatic sleep time detection, how does this affect to the battery life? 4) How accurate are the steps, sleep and heart rate measuring?
Thanks Ken, I appreciate your questions, but they are at the next level of detail for this wearable, and I simply don't have the time to go there with each device I review. If anyone reading this has a 3S and can test these four points out for Ken, that would be great. Otherwise, Ken, if you get yours, can you report back your findings here in the 3S review comments section to help others? Thanks.
How does the battery life compare with manufacturers claim of 30+ days? I'm torn between this & the SMA-TIME. What advantages, if any does the WeLoop 3S have over the SMA-TIME?
I haven't has "time" to compare the two, but the 3S has a nice continuous tracking of what you are doing, even telling you how long you had the band off your arm before putting it back on again. Very impressive.
I guess you'll just have to try it! There are a few limitations as to what I can do to check things out on these watches, and scheduling a sea swim is one of them. But please, tell us all what you find out after you get yours, both on GPS coverage and heart rate. We need somebody like you to actually test these things. Thanks!
Wow, thanks! You also picked one of the best watch as your first to 'watch'! I'm wearing it right now. It's my grab-and-go watch as the tethering app is awesome. Tells you everything, even when you take it off for five minutes or a week. It lets you know how long it hasn't been on your arm. Really makes me want to wear it. Nothing like it on the market! Fasted GPS, tracks have a slider to show your speed at every point on the map, just really well done. But don't let tat stop you from watching more! Check out the Amazfit Bip (like this one) and PACE (more fancy) and compare against Garmin vivoactive (all the bells and whistles). Enjoy your 'time' here. :)
SmartWatch Ticks oh I actually decided on the Makabes DM98 (thanks to you my good sir) I love the freedom it has. But anyway your channel is amazing! Keep up the good work, you know, making the world a better place n all... ;)
Nice and thorough. I really appreciate the time and depth of this review. I was looking for a tethered smartwatch similar to the pebble and I think this will suit me nIcely. I decided to buy the watch (from amazon).
That would be asking too much from any watch (or even high end medial equipment). It might take a reading while underwater, but I would seriously question the accuracy.
Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro do read HR while swimming. It also can detect swimming stroke/style. Hopefully someone will dow swimming test on this Weloop Hey 3S. Because I'm interested in the display (non-glare) and 30 days battery.
My guess is that somebody will be YOU! After you test it, please let us know if the HR works while swimming, and if it accurately counts your strokes. We're all relying on you, Zainul!
Are you sure Gear Fit 2 Pro can do it? I can´t find info about it... Weloop said me PPG heratrate sensors can´t do it because led light is reflected in water. And Samsung is PPG sensor too....
SmartWatch Ticks: yes. No waterproof issues (swam 10km in a 25m pool, and it knows with how many strokes I did it) it even gives the swolf indicator (time + numbers of strokes). Nice info on sleep and move stuff.
I'm in the process of sellin my Pebble 2 watch since 50% of the community complained about the water resistant (will be a problem if you bring into the pool) and bad accuracy of HR. However Pebble will become a nice watch if you not looking into health/fitness apps. I'm invested my precious time to look for best waterproof, non-glare screen and easy notification sw. Found this Weloop which i'm not sure about the accuracy of heartrate and the swim-stroke detection. CAN somebody do a review on water-sport capabilities on this, because I have minimum budget right now which can't do a review/test. THANKS
Thank you. That's what I thought, but didn't work. Tried setup many times and even with different phone still incorrect time. I guess that it is just defective.
I think that I had it tethered to the app. I changed the watch face set timers for it and tested the gps. I had the app forget the watch and reconnect to the watch at least 10 times. I haven't sent it back yet. I will try again tomorrow and make sure that it had synced to the app.
Finally got the correct time onto watch. Had to go into phone settings turn off automatic date and time, change time on phone. Then the watch got correct time. Changed back to automatic and now working great. I am so glad I don't have to send it back. I rather like this watches features. Thank you for the reviews.
Seems like a nice smartwatch/fitness tracker but it's way over priced. You can get a Fossil Q Explorist 3rd generation for the same price although you can't swim with it but it's got a microphone and a speaker and it looks like a regular analog watch. I do like the direction these manufacturers are going.
It's that specialized transflective "always on" screen that adds to the price. Good luck finding one of these anymore. They are totally sold out everywhere.
It should count steps separately from the fitness modes. In fact, when you swipe up from the watch face you see the total day's step count. IF it's not working, check the app to see if it is somehow turned off there to save battery. I doubt it, but worth a look.
The one I like the most (from Gearbest) is the Amazfit. Downside is it doesn't support the "Ok Google" function, nor replying messages from the watch as the Moto 360 or other similar watches. Best one for my taste is my old Moto 360 sport, full of functions, only drawback is the non-removable silicone strap, too bad it is discontinued. Maybe you can try the Casio Protrek WSD-F20 for an adventurous life. If you only need notifications (without full text on the watch) and step counter, calory counter, heartrate sensor and weight control, you can try the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 also from Gearbest, 10-15 day battery. My two cents.
I bought this watch after seeing this video and am relatively satisfied. Relatively because there are some cons that really spoil this excellent watch: - The smartphone app doesn't give you any warning there is an update available. And this is crucial. Without updating the app, you won't get a firmware update. After contacting Weloop, they told me there is a notification, but there isn't. After doing so, the weather information is finally working. So you have to regularly, manually check the playstore for updates, THEN you can update the firmware. A bit of a showstopper. - Even Geekbuying claims on their website you can make your own Watchface, you can't. - The Watchfaces provided by Weloop almost all look pretty ridiculous. Who want tho have a chicken face on the watch? And there are several of them. There must be a chicken lover working at Weloop. - The heartrate sensor is totally useless. If I would believe it, I already died several times. Other than that, batterylife is great. 2 to 3 weeks are no problem. (I'm not using the GPS) And waterproof is true. Seems to me this watch is more a children toy than a serious smartwatch.....
Thanks for your feedback. I've gotta try that firmware update you're talking about. I didn't know it was there (obviously from your experience). The one thing this watch has going is that awesome always on screen. It's only found on the higher end watches so far. Hopefully there will be new models in 2018.
Anyone having issues with logging into the Weloop app or it connecting to the cloud to upload your data? All my apps that use internet connection are working just fine so I think this problem is with the server for the Weloop app. That is why I need to know if anyone else is experiencing that same issues I am having. Please let me know!
I find it easier to use than the PACE, but not as sophisticated in what it can do. Still, when I leave the house, I grab the 3S to wear. I know this is kinda silly, but I put int in cycling mode and use it as a speedometer while driving because the speed display is big, bright, and easy to see at a glance on my arm. Besides, when I sync later to the phone, my entire track, time and speed per moment gets transferred and overlaid on Google Maps. I could actually study how long I was stuck in traffic between two points, how long a particular red light took to change, or how fast over the speed limit I was traveling on a straightaway (oops! did I say that?), that is, if I choose to be that anal(itical).
It looks a nice watch, but very expensive at 129.99 U.S., I was expecting it to go for about 50 U.S. There are better alternatives out there for the same or lower price.
3S, primarily for the large digit display (I use the cycling mode as an accurate cars pedometer) as well as the extensive data in the track report after tethering and syncing to the phone app.
Be careful what you ask for. Just sayin. On this end I see what you don't. Yet. I would buy this watch in a heartbeat. But remember, our heart has two bests per cycle. Something will happen here in about two days. I hope you've subscribed so you'll be notice when it is up!
True, but Pebble, the company, has been bought out and dissolved. There is no Pebble company anymore, and any Pebble watches left will probably be available on the secondary market only (ex. eBay).
Finally got mine. About the heart rate. There are two options, dynamic and static heart rate. What's the difference, as both are measuring heart rate, only with different display? And how can I select that heart rate is monitored 24/7 without choosing any activity mode, so that it's like normal watch, but tracks heart rate and sleeping etc? Official homepage - www.getweloop.com/Support say's, that watch have also remote camera and music control, but I haven't (yet) found how these options are working. Using the latest app (v2.3.2) and latest firmware ( v2.14-1208), but I can't find such watchface ( like You have ruclips.net/video/HZW0JzQX6Ww/видео.html In app, watchface, the tabs Digital and Clock are totally empty.
I haven't been able to get a bit for review yet. If I do, I'll try and compare them. Anybody look at the tethering apps for both watches? Are they the same or different?
I keep coming back to it as my new favorite. I've had it off for awhile, of course, while testing others, and guess what? It actually logs the total time I wasn't wearing it! When I put it back on, it continues as if it never left my arm. So I have a total record of what this watch has experienced from it's perspective. In a crazy kind of way, it's like a reverse timer. I can time the length of my shower simply by seeing how long it was off my arm from setting it down before getting in to putting it on after drying off! Pretty darn amazing.
Got mine for 12 days. Love it so far, specially the swim mode, works very well with so much info, even by lap. It came with 50% charge and still in 10%. The only thing is that sometimes it counts steps when i'm driving. The other day, a 240km drive gave me a full day of steps, very unaccurate. I bought it mainly for swimming.
Great! Thanks for telling us. It looks like it will last a long time and is very rugged build. I think everyone watching should have this watch and an Android watch at a minimum in your connection.
Charles Williamson it is "my" opinion like you say. But for a review that isn't really in depth 10-15 mins should be fine. After 10 mins I just lose interest
As far as I can tell, I'm the one guy out here willing to put in the time to cover as much as possible in the short (believe it or not, it's short by my standards) time I have with you. Thee's a way you can speed the playback to 1.5x or even 2.0x, but this is my joy, my hobby, my passion! I started this because I got so peeved at the 58sec vendor videos showing product stills and some writing on the screen. I about wet my pants when, 12 seconds into a LEMFO LEM6 promo piece and lasting 2 seconds on the screen, I saw the first -- what looks like -- REAL removable bands snapping onto an Android watch, with no mention about it! Geez! Only what we've wanted since 2014.Yes, I crave for more! And now I get the rare opportunity to be with these watches and bands for hours and hours (hope Mr.s Ticks isn't reading this, she's always No.1 you know). So I'm paying it forward to you guys. I was contemplating editing out a 3 min segment out uf the upcoming video I'm working on which happens when the next watch I'm reviewing goes into an automatic update, as I though it might be interesting. But in the sake of balance, I'll pull it. Besides, I already got the 3 minutes of your attention reading this reply! Whatever your opinion guys, I really appreciate you dropping in, even for a few minutes. By way of a teaser, the next wearable retails for $263. Most expensive review I've done yet! Yea, it might be a little bit long.....
SmartWatch Ticks believe me I appreciate that you do this reviews it's just that, for example, you don't have to read all the specs just throw them on the screen. We the viewer can pause and read them at our leisure.
I have put in a request for a future firmware update to add 12 hour mode, but it would be good if you request it too through either the tethering app or the developer's address from the Google Play Store.
I hope, one day in the not so far away future, some manufacturer decides to make a non sport watch:
- always on display like this one
- 30 days standby, like this one
- no GPS, no heart rate, no running, tracking and other sporting stuff
- watch functions like world time, weather info and other useful info
- stylish, round
- watchfaces that don't look like children games
- rock solid tethering with message display and notifications
that will be my day....
I've been looking far and wide for that as well. Plus with the ability to designing install custom watches, because those are the best. Obviously they have figured this Pebble screen thing out, and in color. I could see a complimentary men's and women's memory LCD screen watch before Valentine's Day next year.
And a Calendar, don't forget the calendar. Standalone captibilities would be good to. Stuff like a music player. The GPS for when you are lost will be good, still x)
Hallack0 I got GPS on my phone, and I'm talking about tethering watch. so I have my phone always with me. GPS consumes power, takes space (especially the antenna) which can be used for battery.
I'm talking about a business style watch, not for sporting, hiking or any other outdoor activities.
And yes, calendar.

hi very nice video.. i would like to ask, does this weloop apps data sync to google fit apps just like xiaomi mi band 2?
Hi there, Right now I am facing to choose the right smartwatch. But unfortunately I cannot decide. Which smartwatch do you think could be a best option for fitness tracker (HR, BO2, BP) for a women with tiny wrist? I watched your videos: Senbono Y7, V6, and others...
How its outdoor visibility?
I got the 3S two years ago and wear it all the time - didn't think I would. Unfortunately the battery went from a month down to 4 days out of warranty of course. Is there another watch like this with 30 day battery?
Sorry to hear. The 3S isn't available anywhere anymore. That was a great watch. There's the Neo: ruclips.net/video/BxWiCfqHYF0/видео.html
Same company but not as good a watch in my opinion.
What about others activity like hiking or walking?
Hi is this the same as Lenovo W5?
43 minute review, and over 4 minutes before even opening the box! PLEASE make shorter videos!!!😔
Thanks for your comments, but I prefer in-depth reviews on this channel. You can place playback in 1.5X or even 2X ad get through it in half the time.
If I get it right, WeLoop is actually a Xiaomi brand. I'll keep an eye open for this watch during 11:11 for sure.
Edit
Well not at the time stamp in the video, but on Singles day :)
Can someone tell me if it shows max speed in cycling ? I use it for windsurfing, and I want to know peak speed.
Hi. There in looking for a nice affordable watch that downloads apps and I can use to run and for the gym can you help me out please.
Sure, they are called Android watches (as opposed to tethering or dual mode watches). Start here, then begin exploring some of the reviews on this channel: Beginner’s Guide -

4) How accurate are the steps, sleep and heart rate measuring?
Thanks Ken, I appreciate your questions, but they are at the next level of detail for this wearable, and I simply don't have the time to go there with each device I review. Hey, Does it support Strava Integration (via watch/app)?
I don't think so, but you can check the app by downloading it from the Play Store. Perhaps it's there now if they have updated it.
Compare this to Colmi Sport 3 please
How does the battery life compare with manufacturers claim of 30+ days? I'm torn between this & the SMA-TIME. What advantages, if any does the WeLoop 3S have over the SMA-TIME?
I haven't has "time" to compare the two, but the 3S has a nice continuous tracking of what you are doing, even telling you how long you had the band off your arm before putting it back on again. Very impressive.
To any one who has this watch, does it control music on the phone. I’ve seen conflicting information.
Can the GPS be activated for swimming mode, for sea swimming?
I guess you'll just have to try it! There are a few limitations as to what I can do to check things out on these watches, and scheduling a sea swim is one of them. But please, tell us all what you find out after you get yours, both on GPS coverage and heart rate. We need somebody like you to actually test these things. Thanks!
haha, I love to test this kind of things, but I can't buy all devices to test...so, I must ask, before update my training devoces...
The discount link is not working properly. It would be accounted for at first, but when proceeding to pay, it goes back to the original price.
I am looking into it! Thanks for reporting this.
I read in the specs that it supports Google Maps. Can you do navigation with Google Maps?
No, not at all on this tiny watch. You should look at Android watches if you want Google Maps. Plus, you need a SIM card and data plan to navigate.
Amazfit Bip is the way to go if looking for somthing similar or even better than this, and cheaper.
swimming could be an issue with a bip... this one supports it
First video I’m watching of yours
I couldn’t help subscribing you’re so good at this
Wow, thanks! You also picked one of the best watch as your first to 'watch'! I'm wearing it right now. It's my grab-and-go watch as the tethering app is awesome. Nice and thorough. I really appreciate the time and depth of this review. I was looking for a tethered smartwatch similar to the pebble and I think this will suit me nIcely. I decided to buy the watch (from amazon).
I'm wearing this more and more these days. I really like the always on screen.
Is heartrate messured in swimming mode too?
Good review. I just got it, mainly for swimming, and it tracks that well.
Really! Outstanding! Very good new. No waterproofing issues with it? Everything working fine? GPS still holds in water for you?
THANKS
Yes, I agree with you, Zainul, can somebody do a water sports review of the 3S? We'd all really appreciate it! Thanks.
Can it track sleep?
yes
How do you get the correct time on this thing?
Simple! Just sync it to the app on your phone. It sets to match your phone time.
Thank you. That's what I thought, but didn't work. Tried setup many times and even with different phone still incorrect time. I guess that it is just defective.
Remember, it's tethered to the APP, not just Bluetooth tethering it to the phone like you would tether an earpiece.
I think that I had it tethered to the app. I changed the watch face set timers for it and tested the gps. I had the app forget the watch and reconnect to the watch at least 10 times. I haven't sent it back yet. I will try again tomorrow and make sure that it had synced to the app.

It's working now. I guess I need to be a little more patient.
Now I cannot get the app to sync with the watch. I cannot even log in to the app! This is really making me mad!
I don't want to spend to much. I would like a smartwatch with good screen definition...
Which is the best smart watch to buy from gearbest
That's an odd question. What's the best pair of shoes to buy from Macy's?
The one I like the most (from Gearbest) is the Amazfit. Downside is it doesn't support the "Ok Google" function, nor replying messages from the watch as the Moto 360 or other similar watches. Excelent review. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome! This is one of my favorite watches and the one I wear most often.
Looks like heavily pebble inspired watch, but not so good UI
Yes, not what Pebble has been purchases and dismantled, at least some parts remain that can be used to give us products.
That watch reminds me of my pebble two
Yes, exactly! Check them out side by side and together with the tethering app. I'd like to hear from you how they compare. Thanks!
Anyone having issues with logging into the Weloop app or it connecting to the cloud to upload your data? All my apps that use internet connection are working just fine so I think this problem is with the server for the Weloop app. That is why I need to know if anyone else is experiencing that same issues I am having. Please let me know!
Did you like this better than the Amazfit pace?
I find it easier to use than the PACE, but not as sophisticated in what it can do. Still, when I leave the house, I grab the 3S to wear. I know this is kinda silly, but I put int in cycling mode and use it as a speedometer while driving because the speed display is big, bright, and easy to see at a glance on my arm. Besides, when I sync later to the phone, my entire track, time and speed per moment gets transferred and overlaid on Google Maps. I could actually study how long I was stuck in traffic between two points, how long a particular red light took to change, or how fast over the speed limit I was traveling on a straightaway (oops! did I say that?), that is, if I choose to be that anal(itical).
cool, thanks. Do they use different apps?
Totally different apps, interface, totally different watches.
It looks a nice watch, but very expensive at 129.99 U.S., I was expecting it to go for about 50 U.S. There are better alternatives out there for the same or lower price.
Prices should drop as this memory LCD screen technology shows up in more watches.
Which alternatives?
Look at the Xiaomi (Huami) smartwatches.
Huami looks poor
you really need to see Amazfit Bip compare with this one.
I'm trying to get one, but so far nobody has even the samples to send out!
Which do you prefer - the Bip or 3S? Why?
3S, primarily for the large digit display (I use the cycling mode as an accurate cars pedometer) as well as the extensive data in the track report after tethering and syncing to the phone app.
There's a firmware update to 2.10 today.
Yippee! I'll check it. What's it supposed to do?
SmartWatch Ticks supposed to enhance battery life and some language support
Great! Thanks.
$130? lol
Tnx for the review regardless.
Yeah the bands are hideous and needs changing.
Its square with an English app. Unless you show me a better watch I'm sold on it.
Be careful what you ask for. Just sayin. On this end I see what you don't. Yet. I would buy this watch in a heartbeat. But remember, our heart has two bests per cycle. Something will happen here in about two days. I hope you've subscribed so you'll be notice when it is up!
You are getting excited Mr.Ticks. I already like this one, but looks like something is in the works.
Better for sports? I want a device for swimm, run and cycling
I don't want a channel I'm just commenting get the pebble watch. It’s 100 dollars so 30 dollars cheaper has all the same features and has games
True, but Pebble, the company, has been bought out and dissolved. There is no Pebble company anymore, and any Pebble watches left will probably be available on the secondary market only (ex. eBay).
Shouldve cut the video while updating instead of making unnecessary side comments.
Thanks for the feedback.
Using the latest app (v2.3.2) and latest firmware ( v2.14-1208), but I can't find such watchface ( like You have ruclips.net/video/HZW0JzQX6Ww/видео.html In app, watchface, the tabs Digital and Clock are totally empty.
look same as amazfit bip
Mohd Nizam Sazali it does indeed, so what is different?
hmm, but i like more amazfit bip interface, weeloop graphic look like old 8 bit game hahaha
I haven't been able to get a bit for review yet. If I do, I'll try and compare them. Anybody look at the tethering apps for both watches? Are they the same or different?
SmartWatch Ticks i'm waiting the bip's review i'm sure you'll have an interesting comparison to do
SmartWatch Ticks amazfit bip uses mifit, same as original miband 1,2.
We loop bro
Loo-De_loo!
Yep, this is the one i'm gonna get.
I use it for weeks. It very good.
Great! Thanks for telling us. It looks like it will last a long time and is very rugged build. I think everyone watching should have this watch and an Android watch at a minimum in your connection.
Hey hey hey it's fat Albert
Ah, I remember those days!

Yes! Welcome! Congratulations!
Still way to long vids
Zombie Master that's your opinion, don't watch if you're too " busy".
Look generic
To much at £101.00
Check the show notes for discount links. I'll try and keep them updated.

You guys are really fast today. This is a fine watch. Enjoy the video!
Does this have 12hr time or stay on 24hr time, if so can you change it to 12hr?
I have put in a request for a future firmware update to add 12 hour mode, but it would be good if you request it too through either the tethering app or the developer's address from the Google Play Store.
Way too thick-would be better as a necklace.
