When you watch comps with a lot of these same images but the music is sad or nostalgic, you feel nostalgic your self and find comfort or sadness in those images. But when the music is atonal or unnerving, you feel discomfort from the same images, almost like “Yeah this image is familiar but something is wrong, something is lurking in every image and you can’t see it”.

I think what creeps me out is in nightmares or just regular dreams, I find myself in half of the places here. It's a serious case of deja vu and it's downright creepy how accurate many of these are to what I've seen. It's almost like somewhere in the universe, someone secretly takes a photo of places like this and it enters your brain without your knowledge. Your dream could take place in any of these and even before viewing this video, you've probably visited half of these places. The moment I started watching this video, I said "That was in my dream in seventh grade!" Now that I'm older, it's more terrifying. At 11:51, that picture took place in one of my nightmares and the next picture of the mall filled with neon lights was also there in my nightmare. I woke up in that room with tables and walked aimlessly around the hall while I heard someone else walking around the ominous space as well, but I could never see who it was. But every five seconds, I would hear a "You're going to get it" in a woman's voice and I would hear running towards me but no matter where I turned, I could never see anyone. Each room with neon lights was there and I just ran through them with a woman growling behind me until I woke up.

The liminal plane is truly amazing, an apeirophobes nightmare, an enigmatic dimention full of familiar places and unfamiliar denizens inside, the horrors are truly infinite, we only know 91% of it all....
It’s always the fact that I feel like they’re memories more than pictures. I was born in 1986 and most of these are throughout my lifetime. We lived through and saw things like this all the time growing up. The world became sterile somewhere in the mid 2000’s and images like these have become less and less abundant
No they’re unnerving because being born in 1986 I feel like I’ve seen half of these places with my own eyes. I don’t care about the fact that no one is there
Not even the image of great wolf lodge? That chain was pretty popular when I was a kid (sure I was born in 06, but I still went there often during the 2010s).

I'm so sorry that you had to go through so scray and traumatic that you still remember it 4 years later, also you don't have to worry about explaining that feeling, it's good that your brain can go worry free while you watch these videos since they give off a eerily comforting feeling
*I was supposed to be alone.* I had a radio-sized locator device that measured the presence of lifeforms in the entire... location... area... place... wherever I was. I switched on the device, and it read the same as when I'd arrived: Lifeforms: 1 I was the only lifeform, and I knew because the locator showed my current position. I found solace in knowing that I was the only lifeform here. ... I *was* the only lifeform here. ...right...? The more I walked through the mysterious, unknown-yet-familiar place, the more this feeling began to dwindle, the more the thought recessed. I could've sworn I saw something out of my peripherals. Once. Twice. Thrice. Someone-or... some-*thing* was there. But that couldn't be... I was certain I was the only lifeform here. I checked the locator once more, and it read the same. Lifeforms: 1 It wasn't until I was about to switch the device off that I felt a presence watching me... from somewhere. That was when I noticed it: on my device, the other switch, and its function. Lifeform mode -> Entity mode I flicked the switch, and after the locator recalibrated, my blood ran a cold shiver down my spine when I saw what the device read: Entities: 2 I could *feel* the presence grin.
Ok but that pelican ride on the thumbnail, yeah I actually see that at my local ice cream place every so often, it’s one of those rides there for the toddlers that you put 50 cents in

I'm rootin' for ya!
rootin for you too
Such a sense of curiosity and mystery. A fascination with the unknown
3:53 I've seen this in my dream before, creepy as heck.
Imagine there was a jumpscare between one of these clips, my soul would litterly leave me.
Lmao, that's a good idea for my next video!
@@MechaVillager nooooOoOOOOo... Okay but give me some time to go buy a coffin and say goodbye to my family..
@@Rodutchi 😂
The tv at 7:24 looks like its sorta on fire? Haha.
ty for the song names
4:21 That's the legends outlet. I used to go there when I was really young to throughout my high school years
Okay sorry but 4:39 made me laugh
Its from zardy's maze
this feels like loading a dead persons corrupted memories.
Watching this actually makes me realize all the places I have been with my parents. And how I couldn’t remember some. I can smell the carpet, the walls, feel the humidity in some rooms, or the lack of air. If it’s outside I can feel the weather. Wonderful!
0:24 i would start sobbing if i had to walk through that hall💀
Bruh same 💀
*Just turns on my phone flashlight*
Same!
I don’t know why but all the pictures with darkened hallways make me so uneasy.
@@MeowtheRockstarcat the iphone flashlight literally sucks, best use no light because you just become a walking beacon at that point so if there is something in there it knows exactly where you are (was gonna put skull emoji but now that i am thinking about it more this is genuinely terrifying which has put that decision on hold)
0:10 As a CEC fan, I loved that.
Same
Same
bro wtf 14:46 caught me off guard like crazy, when I was growing up, my aunt's kitchen looked exactly like this but with a different layout (oven bigger, microwave was on top of it where the clock is) and the pink color of the kitchen ended into a beige or copper brown when it conjoined with the dining room. Made me stop the video after vibing halfway through it.
26:24 what track ID is this?
Earthbound - Giygas battle
Alot of the places with the dark or moody setting , gives me a feeling of presence like someone or something is their , combined with this music i legit thought that something was touching me.
Liminal spaces make good places where a serial killer can get you by surprise.
Nice photo series, good music for liminal spaces
8:32 that’s from paranormal activity
That movie is filled with screenshots that could pass as liminial spaces.
These places are so familiar but i've never remembered ever seeing them in my dreams before...
The liminal plane is truly amazing, an apeirophobes nightmare, an enigmatic dimention full of familiar places and unfamiliar denizens inside, the horrors are truly infinite, we only know 91% of it all....
0:07 was a more recent photo, pictures from 10-30 years earlier would be what you're looking for for these times
3:15 I know exactly how this place smells and probably you too
Chlorine
Chlorine mixed with urine probably
It’s always the fact that I feel like they’re memories more than pictures. I was born in 1986 and most of these are throughout my lifetime. We lived through and saw things like this all the time growing up. The world became sterile somewhere in the mid 2000’s and images like these have become less and less abundant
What is the actual place and source of 12:36? Just curious
I have no idea, I tried to do a reverse image search and nothing popped up
Looks like a water park inside a hotel
You have not been here.
You have not seen this place.
You see something, say something.
let's be real. these pictures are unnerving not because we think we are alone, it's the constant fear that we are *not* alone.
YES
No they’re unnerving because being born in 1986 I feel like I’ve seen half of these places with my own eyes. I don’t care about the fact that no one is there
No, I just am afraid that I am alone. They have nothing in them. No sign of life at all. No source of entertainment. Nothing to do but go mad.
Now this may be because I'm a 2011 child but I can't relate to many of these, I relate to some but now alot. Great work though!
Not even the image of great wolf lodge? That chain was pretty popular when I was a kid (sure I was born in 06, but I still went there often during the 2010s).
anytime I watch any Liminal Spaces videos I begin to feel tired
I had no idea that people got drowsy when watching these videos until someone that I showed my channel to told me that it happens, and because of that I made a "Liminal spaces with calming music" video on my channel, I'd think you would like it! :)
@@MechaVillager oh I'll watch it after work
9:43 istg I remember visiting this in alaska
I had a traumatic event happen to me 4 years ago that I still have thoughts about, but coming here somehow pushes the thoughts away. Idk how to explain it.
I'm so sorry that you had to go through so scray and traumatic that you still remember it 4 years later, also you don't have to worry about explaining that feeling, it's good that your brain can go worry free while you watch these videos since they give off a eerily comforting feeling
leaving this here as a reminder for me: 23:10
It’s weird how some of these images triggered real memories I forgot I had
4:16 Isn't that Shaun the Sheep and his friends on the wall? Is this the place in the UK 🇬🇧 of the USA 🇺🇸? Sorry I'm just wondering that's all.
*I was supposed to be alone.*
I had a radio-sized locator device that measured the presence of lifeforms in the entire... location... area... place... wherever I was. I switched on the device, and it read the same as when I'd arrived:
Lifeforms: 1
I was the only lifeform, and I knew because the locator showed my current position.
Lifeforms: 1
It wasn't until I was about to switch the device off that I felt a presence watching me... from somewhere. That was when I noticed it: on my device, the other switch, and its function.
Lifeform mode -> Entity mode
I flicked the switch, and after the locator recalibrated, my blood ran a cold shiver down my spine when I saw what the device read:
Entities: 2
I could *feel* the presence grin.
Underrated comment, really interesting!
i get coraline other mothers house vibe from the music, the music at the start at least
Does anyone know how I can find the music artists? I want to license some of this music!
I just found this music while searching for unnerving video game music
0:37 i am 98% sure this is a room in Yume Nikki
0:00 what music is this?
0:43
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Light and Darkness
thanks!
Np!
Ok but that pelican ride on the thumbnail, yeah I actually see that at my local ice cream place every so often, it’s one of those rides there for the toddlers that you put 50 cents in
Reminds me of a weekend I spent in Las Vegas 4 years ago. No kidding.
I just went to Vegas a month ago as a matter of fact!
@@MechaVillager Another place with the liminal spaces vibe is the International Drive area outside Walt Disney World in Orlando FL. There are lots of empty or nearly empty worn-out commercial places. Dead Malls forever and ever, amen.
I went to Vegas last year and oh boy there were soo many Liminal spaces I’ve recognized when me and my dad walked around the strip
Man I loved taking these photos
10:25 my favourite song. And I purposely written “song”.
This hits hard man
Thanks!
Indoor water parks will be the death of me
