I have used what I have learned to give simple directions to our Spanish speaking patients in the clinic and our Spanish speaking physician complimented me on sounding great!!!
I've been through two one-on-one Spanish tutors at between $35 and $50 per hour and never got the instruction and insight that Spanish with Paul provides. I'm signing up for the lessons! Very productive time spent and I'm getting conversant! Thanks
What part of the country are you in
Theres a lot of bad tutors out there. Paul is very good
I had a brain injury and have found learning Spanish difficult but your videos are helping me enormously to learn and retain ....thank you so much ...will continue with your videos .
One of the best teachers in the world! Gracias!
Thanks for the new lesson, Paul, and to keeping it to 22 minutes. I find 20 minutes of instruction is where I begin to drift. Your last several videos end at that time. Great! Mucho Gracias!
I love learning from your videos. I share them with everyone who wants to learn Spanish. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
If you want to be fluent in Spanish follow Paul. It doesn’t get any better than Paul. He’s an amazingly interesting and focussed teacher. Xx

Mag deinen Stil zu lehren sehr gerne, seh verständlich, danke und sei weiterhin gesegnet
Es cierto que una expresión en presente podría significar algo para el futuro, sin embargo, también podría expresarse con el verbo principal conjugado en futuro que sería de la siguiente manera : "Lo tendré para ti mañana", "Lo haré mañana", "Lo compraré para ti hoy mismo", " Lo necesitaré para el martes".
Best Spanish teacher
This is the first time I've listened to one of your videos. I thought it was clear and precise and I learned alot! I've taken a class and been learning on my own and this just put alot together for me! Thank you so much! I will consider taking the full course when I can.
You the man Paul. I actually get it when you teach. We gonna focus on the word it. No you throw in 15 more but i love it because it speeds things up. Don't keep doing it but i like the way you make us learn. Bet ya smiling😂

Hoy Mismo?? "This very day". got from Spanishdict. What do you think ? BTW another GREAT LESSON. I can't believe how happy I am being a Paid Member of SPANISH with PAUL. SUPER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leo-YERMO Adam Hoy mismo means that It has to be today not tomorrow not the day after tomorrow. Today , for example.... I want you to go to the grocery and buy some apples, then you ask the other person..... hoy mismo? You are asking the other person if you want the Apples to be bought exactly today or they can be bought tomorrow or anther day.Tha is what that expression means. I am native Spanish speaker I am learning English with Paul👍He is really good.
Maria Guerrero, I really like your comments, I've read them on some of Paul's other videos too. Thank you for your input :)
Ken Rawlinson Thank U Sr. My first language in Spanish. I have studied English here in the USA. I found This teacher Paul some days ago and I got impressed because He is really good. Regarding pronunciation I have just noticed that in some words like TODO ( there are a few others but don’t remember now) and He instead of pronouncing a d he pronounce an R. The great majority of the lesson his pronunciation is almost like a native. So Here I am learning English with him.
Mismo means same so it’s literal translation is same day
Thanks Paul, another great lesson.
Gracias Paul. Espero tu leccion cada lunes.
Excellent training video! Thank you!
Espero tu lección cada lunes
Es fantastico Muchisimas gracias Paul!
wow this video is so much louder and faster than I am used to with Paul. Not good or bad. Just different.
Great stuff again. But I prefer hoy más tarde. I don't know why😊
I am a native Spanish speaker and I never thought how difficult the pronouns are !! And I thought the word (it ) was difficult to use !!
Can u help me
Thank you very much! Great lesson (and your other lessons too)! Spanish is definitely easier than Romanian, but the pronouns strike back :)
Superb video.
Hi Paul, thank you very much for your lessons. I am curious to know if you provide live group video lessons for those who purchase the complete course.
Hola Pablo! Esta lección fue más fácil. Y noto que es lo mismo tan una otra lección hagas con nueva palabras. Jajajaja...
Creo que necesito comprar las leccións para aprender mas. Gracias por tu ayuda!! 😎
Hacer means to do/make while hago means I do/make. You can use hacer in instances where its proceeding a word like quiero, para, necesito . As I if you were to say "I want to do it" quiero hacerlo. But if you dont feel the need to Express that then it's just lo hago
Can you do a video on phrases with SEGUIR? Sigo en el hospital. Quiero seguir viendo tus videos. Sigeme. Frases asi?
Mahal Kita I second that, I have a hard time with seguir
Me tambien.
Thank you very very much!
Mucho información, gracias señor
Mucha*
Thank you 💕
Muchas gracias.
Game changer.
Me gusta estudiar español contigo mucho 😇😇😇
Mucho gracias Paul
Fantastic video thanks
Man I wish I knew about this channel a year ago
Excellent lesson!
Question regarding future tense(e.g."I will have it for you tomorrow, "I will do it for you tomorrow"). Both Google translate and DeepL give these as translations. ("Lo tendré para ti manana," and " Lo haré para ti manana." Should it be as you taught "Lo tengo" and Lo hago"? Please help explain.
I think he's going to tell you it's more common to use the present tense to indicate the future in those instances, although it is not how we would say it in English
I, as a spaniard, would use them indistinctely, maybe with a slight difference on what I actually want to comunicate appart of the main meaning.
We don't say "lo haré para ti mañana."
We say: "mañana te lo hago." (TE LO)
Mañana TE LO digo. (I'll tell you tomorrow)
Mañana TE LO compro. ( I'll buy it for you tomorrow)
Great job
Thank you
Thank you so much paul
Excellent
PERFECT!!!!! THANKS!!!!
My friend Said that you had an offer right now for buying Spanish lesson. Is that right
It happens every couple of months. I started back in February of last year. Worth every penny. Every...single...cent.
If I say queiro comprarlo mas tarde instead of lo compro mas tarde. Is it still correct?
Maddy Fairplay si, es correcto
Si, es correcto. pero necesitas escribir toda la frase.
Question: what about when you put "lo" at the end of the verb? Like "Hacerlo"? Is that only when the verb ends in a consonant?
jay hancock - I'm not a teacher but i'll try to explain it how i understand it.
You use "Lo" before a conjugated verb that is directly involved with "it"; and you use "Lo" at the end of an un-conjugated verb that is directly involved with "it".
Por ejemplo, Necesito hacerlo mañana. (I need to do it tomorrow.)
Lo hago ayer (I did it yesterday)
Lo necesito para mañana. (I need it for tomorrow.)
"Hago" being a conjugated form of "Hacer" and "Necesito" being a conjugated form of "Necesitar," pushes the "Lo" to the front since those verbs are directly involved with "it."
Hope that helps somewhat, he did mention that in a previous lessons, though.
Wrong, is 'Lo hice ayer' not 'lo hago ayer'. You can't say I do it yesterday.
Jay, "lo" is a substitute for a masculine direct complement. Sometimes It goes before the verb and sometimes after it, but It doesn't matter if it's the infinitive ( ending in "r"") or imperative.
Some examples:
Tengo que hacer el trabajo - Tengo que hacerlo.
Hazme el trabajo- Házmelo.
Haz eso - Hazlo.
Voy a ver eso - Voy a verlo.
Voy a ver el partido- Voy a verlo.
Mañana comeré un bocadillo- Mañana lo comeré.
If femenine It would be "la".
Luego hago la cama- Luego la hago.
Hazme la cama- HázmeLA ( la cama).
Ponte las botas- PónteLAS ( in this case the Direct complement, "las botas", is plural so the pronoun is "las" instead of the singular form "la". Same would be un masculine.
Átate los cordones-ÁtateLOS
So you can use present tense to talk about the future ( like in the lesson) but can not when it comes to past tense?
@@luyenluyen7763 Yes. That's correct.
"Mañana lo hago" is ok.
"Ayer lo hago" is wrong.
Im k kali prasad and already Subscribed to reg.member.i hav a doubt in spanish. We say to give me DARME.same way to take or to carry some one we say llevar and to take her l guess it should be LLEVARLE. But it wasnt so.itwas LLEVALE.it really cracking me ro to undrstand.would you pl.explain it pl?? Gracias.
Muchas gracias Paul!
finaly it makes sence ..thankyou
New subscriber, gracias!
when to use comprarlo vs use lo compro
Comprarlo means to buy something in the future:
"¿Vas a comprar ese vestido?"
Are you going to buy that dress?
"Sí, voy a comprarlo."
Yes, I'm going to buy it.
Or:
"Sí, lo voy a comprar."
"Si quieres ese vestido TE LO compro."
If you want that dress I'll buy it for you.
"Sí, cómpraMELO."
Yes, buy it for me.
great !
Can't hacer lo be used instead of lo hago?
Lo hago means i do it
While hacerlo means to do it
It's diffirent in meaning
@@luyenluyen7763 Thanks for clearing that up for me. I had the same question.
"Hacerlo" implies in the future:
"Voy a hacerlo mañana."
"Voy a hacerlo después."
"Voy a hacerlo más tarde."
"Lo hago" implies the present:
"Yo lo hago."
However, people use to say "mañana lo hago.", instead of "mañana lo haré".
Is the main course still available, Paul? Thanks.
I'm not Paul, but do know his complete course is available now for half the original price. If it's as good as the free lessons, it's worth it. I'm kinda stretched right now because I already pay for a face to face Spanish class. I use Paul as a supplement. He really helps me.
