🖖😎👍Very totally cool and very nicely greatly well done and executed in every detail way shape and format spectaculary provided by you as always indeed Sir!.
I love it! Seeing the TOS era ships from before Paramount restarted the franchise. All except the Larkin were from Star Trek before Roddenberry licensed Trek to Task Force Games. They expanded on the ship classes for the Federation and the other Trek races starship design. One of the reasons Star Trek ships look so different from the TOS ships was TFGs managed to keep their designs and Paramount had to do some major redesigns. That was when the matter/anti-matter reactors were transformed into Warp Reactor Cores and moved from the nacelles down into the engineering hull and located right where the main turboshaft was originally. The nacelles went from housing the reactors and the FTL drive units to just being the Warp Coils. Lots of changes. But I like both, they each have their own aesthetic.
@@lossatt Franz Joseph was the artist and published his books with GR's approval. But GR owned the IP. When Paramount bought/licensed/?? the IP they thought they had it all and then discovered that GR had made some $ by licensing out some aspects of the "failed" franchise. No one really knows the details except the actual principles, but I know of at least three people/companies that were able to maintain control of their slice of the pie within narrow confines. Form follows function which is why ships all look like ships. Star Trek actually had some internal logic from the beginning even if the writers tended to go all over the place in TOS being, before the idea of continuity editors. One of those companies had extrapolated Star Trek ship designs out several hundered years from TOS. I personally think that is why the backgrounds and behaviors of the Klingons and Romulan were changed so much. I think the Klingon changes were perfect but the Romulans were undercooked. Anyway, I am pretty sure that is why the ships form the core races in Trek look so different and they introduced so many "new" races. Obviously TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT did a great job, but I find the idea of changing engineering and not seeing all those fantastic hull designs a bit sad.
Your work and vision are incredible. You add extra detailing while keeping within the original style. I look forward to your videos and you never disappoint. Your work is what us old school fans really want. Keep it up
This was simply great. The variety of ships, all of which are familiar, the station all of it. Also the mix of old and new ship designs is a welcome sight as it's what you'd expect to see in a space navy that is in a arms race with another navy. Oh and that 7th fleet into was NOICE!
I would have thought that The Hevelius Cargo ship would have somehow physically docked the cargo module to offload, rather than the saucer section. It's hard to tell how the ships are docked. I would have thought that with transporters, the ships wouldn't have had to actually physically dock. Good rendering though.
IIRC the pod would usually separate in system. The pods are fully capable, though slow sublight ships. There was a pod version called a battle pod with two nacelles. Remember the nacelles held the matter/anti-matter reactors in the TOS era. That gave the pod power needed for strong shields and weapons. Not designed for independent warp, it was meant to be deployed docked to a Ptolemy tug. Supposedly in a emergency it could make warp 3.something by itself. But there were many different cargo pod designs including Starliners. The Ptolemy Tug could pull multiple pods in tandem, but would reduce the number if speed was needed. Thanks for a reason to geek on this 😁
I noticed that the Yorktown had some red shading where the Enterprise was always light blue. Am I imagining it or are you in the same mindset that each Constitution Class should have a different color marker to distinguish between them?
I would think, as with real ships, each ship of the class is slightly different and improved and, yes, this would inlcude colours as you say - thanks for watching
A Battleship, a heavy Cruiser, a Light cruiser, a Heavy Destroyer, two light destroyers and a Transport ship loaded with Photons for the fleet. *What kinda fleet is Starfleet expecting from the Klingons?!*
@Chris Lea - if nacelles on a Federation ship are warp coils to create a warp bubble, and are not engines, then where, exactly on the single nacelled Scout ship is the Engine Room? In the primary hull where the living and service quarters are, or in the supporting pylon? It seems incongorous to me that these ships can exist, never mind fly. And what is their top speed at warp? 4? 5? I have asked this elsewhere before, but no-one answered. Anyway, I have to say that I always look out for your excellent productions, but you really need to do a big "Axanar"-style production - maybe stitch all your Romulan War content together, with some newer pieces, either animation, as s here, of crew on a bridge or even some live action for continuity and POV, but not first-person as that personally causes me headaches. But that's just me. There's stiil your take on the Four Year War against the Klingons, as this piece seems to allude to. Does this vid take place long before the Organian Peace Treaty? Anyway, thanks for your diligence and hard work. LLAP🖖👍
While I've always loved Star Trek I'm regaining my appreciation for these TOS style ships, especially when they have this much detail. This is not a criticism of your work but I've never been a huge fan of ships with 1 or 3 nacelles. But... as I said... the quality of the work is stunning,
Magnificent ships! Franz Joseph would be very proud to see these designs given life.
Not just the ships, but the graphics on the padd look like the ones in the Technical Manual, the map, the text, etc. Very nice touch!
I would have given a kidney for these ships to be in Discovery, TOS design is very underappreciated, it's a unique aesthetic in science fiction
Always looking forward to your videos, and as always beautiful work.
Thank you for that and glad you enjoyed it :)

Starfleet Battles versions come to life!
Thank you!
That was the first thing that entered my mind! 👍
@@blockmasterscott Yep he did some excellent work there.
Love the ship designs and textures.
The captain of the Copperhead had me rolling. He'd be a fun captain to serve under.
Man, this reminds me of Starfleet Battles in the very early 80s.
In a good way, I hope :)
@ Not in a good way, but a FANTASTIC way! 👍
It just has that Starfleet Battles feel to it. I almost expected to see a Federation heavy carrier. 🤣
What a splendid story arc. Nicely done as always. Cannot wait to see the 7th kick some Turtles in a Half-Shell butt.
🖖😎👍Very totally cool and very nicely greatly well done and executed in every detail way shape and format spectaculary provided by you as always indeed Sir!.
Thanks Steve, as always
It's always a treat to see new videos from you. Incredible work as always. ❤🖖
Thank you so much 😀
Nicely done. Great models:))
Many thanks - thanks for commenting
Beautiful!! Thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed
That’s a nice task force at Station K-7. Definitely not guarding wheat this time!😂
Thanks for watching and commenting
Wow, it's amazing! you did a great job. All the ships look amazing. Keep it up :)
Thanks, will do!
The quality of these videos never ceases to amaze me. Great work.
Great composition again, loved seeing the task force build up. I especially enjoyed the quirky intro - brilliant!
Thank you - thought I'd do something a bit unusual this time
Looks beautiful, really amazing job on the visuals. Narrative is a step up also, more cohesive. I felt this scene build a lot more, well done!
My father in law was aboard the flagship of the seventh fleet all through Vietnam ! USS Oklahoma City !

It wasn't licensed from Roddenberry; it was from Franz Joseph.

Love to see the SFTM being honored. TY.
It’s great to see and hear a fresh story on the Federation. Especially ships that never ever seen or heard of.
I love this! Wonderful video. Seeing the different ship classes together really gives one the relation of scale between them.
That’s one mean looking ship! Great work, as always!

Love the look of the ships! It's a nice update while keeping the designs faithful to what they were originally designed to be. Well done!
Fantastic work. Its great seeing those designs brought to life
Ahh Love the early flathead designs.... brings back so many memories of tabletop SFB (Star Fleet Battles). :)
Lovely stuff! I like the "Lucky 7th" jingle!

I'm really enjoying this return to the pioneering days of the franch - I mean - Federation. Fresh but wonderfully nostalgic.
I love the copperfield.. lovely little vessel :)
Great work
Nice! I need one of those UFP coffee cups.
Beautiful! Your work keeps getting better.
very nice
Love seeing that 3-engine dreadnought.

Very nicly done! Thanks for sharing.
Just beautiful.
Love the models. Get work! Hope to see more from you. :-)
My son turned me onto your channel just recently. Regular viewer now. Amazing work!
Looks amazing. Great work 👏👏👏
Gorgeous!
Absolutely amazing
Seems like they're gearing up for the Battle of Donatu V (mentioned by Spock in The Trouble With Tribbles). Do you plan on showing the battle?
Hmmm, maybe....glad you enjoyed, more to come

*What kinda fleet is Starfleet expecting from the Klingons?!*
Excellent work. What would constitute a battleship in this universe?
Why are the ship sizes so different? Shouldn't the saucers be relatively the same size?
With a bit of ST TRPG? Nice.

Awesome! What class is the Copperhead?!
Serpent
Where is the enterpise? Shpuld enterpise be part of 7th fleet at this time?
Isn't the USS Entente's registry number (-2120) too high?
I've used the registry from The Motion Picture but this is an ongoing debate as far as I know - thanks for watching
@@chrislea1000 interesting. I think I need to rewatch TMP, I have zero memory of the ship appearing in the movie. Thanks.
It’s mentioned in dialogue during the first station scene so you’ve not missed seeing it 😂
@@chrislea1000 ah, interesting.
They have a Constitution ship, they'll be fine 😅
Too bad, Uss Aries CL class is not in this production as part of the 7th Fleet😉

Not Actually K-7,It's the Top half of Starbase 12.
Cool mustering of dangerous ships. As a destroyerman, can’t wait to see what you have next. 🫡
