    I know people debate about the big 4 vs the big 3 and I get that he's won nowhere near what they have. But there's a reason they have done these messages for him as they did for the Wimbledon montage, and why Roger asked him to be at his retirement.it's clear they see him as the best of the rest- the one who got closest to them, and they had to get through him at the business end of tournaments nearly every time. they have so much respect for him and that says more than people who haven't played professional sport only judging him on his titles. he has done more for for the tennis world than so many who have 'achieved' more and has been an inspiration to so many including just about every single British tennis player now and in the future.

Yes, the strong Spanish accent is there, and he mispronounces words due to that here and there but he communicates effectively his ideas. Saying Nadal speaks like a duck is disrespectful, as Nadal has no problem being understood in any English-speaking country and can carry on a fluent conversation about tennis and general topics without any problem (something he couldn't when he was younger).

    heartwarming to see this. hope that history will be in favor of murray's career, he has "only" 3 slams while if he hadn't have to fight against these monsters he could have end his career with 8-9 slams at least (just to mention he lost 5 finals in australia to fed and nole, this shows how unlucky he was in that tournament specifically and how consistent he was until he encountered the big 3 who got on top of him most of the time). one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

    Andy was part of an incredible era for tennis. On his day he could beat anyone. Probably should have won more slams but . . . then there was Roger, Rafa and Novak. We might not be seeing him any more competing on court but hope he still remains on the scene in some capacity.

    Let’s be fair Murray is a legend he’s had a phenomenal career and it only looks bad next to the 3 greatest of all time. They have to be the greatest but they didn’t in the same era. Murray is a top 20 player in lens history imo

    Just for the record, the head-to-heads are as follows:
    Nadal v Murray 17-7, Federer v Murray 14-11 and Djokovic v Murray 25-11
    Given that those stats are against three of the greatest players of all time, Andy has had a wonderful career on top of all his trophies and achievements.

    Have to respect Roger he is so at peace with himself when he acknowledges the other players in my opinion he is the original Goat and no matter if others have more slams he gave more back to tennis. Andy thanks for all the great matches and enjoy life with your family

    • @Turrican60
      @Turrican60 5 месяцев назад +1

      No, Federer hasn't given "more back to tennis" - that's a biased, haphazard, unsupported claim that has no empirical evidence whatsoever to back it up. Sure, he may have been the most popular player in the world at his peak, and I accept that, but the player popularity stakes tell us absolutely nothing about what a player supposedly "gives back" to the game. In fact, you failed to define precisely what he supposedly "gave back" to tennis - at least from your point of view. I'm sure Nadal and Djokovic fans could make a similar case: after all, one of them has won Roland Garros a staggering 14 times while the other has a whopping 11 Australian Open titles, an untouchable 40 Masters 1000 titles, and a mind-boggling 428 weeks as World No. 1. Perhaps these stats indicate that both of these players "gave more back to tennis" than Federer? Finally, regarding Federer as the "original GOAT" may bring you a modicum of comfort now that his record has been eclipsed by both Djokovic and Nadal, but I'm afraid it's the present that matters. The fact is, there's only one player that owns the accolade of GOAT, and it's the untouchable Novak Djokovic.
