Wow! I have been trying to learn Hebrew for years. This is the best explanation of vowels I have ever seen. So clear! I am going to make Flashcards with your method for practice. Thank you for your time and kindness.
Thank you for organizing this along the a-e-i-o-u of English. I tell my students that "new" is like the vav with shuruq and "know" is like the vav with holam. Both times the vav or w is helping make a vowel and not acting like a consonant. Maybe this will help other students!
Excellent video. You answered most of my questions. I'm new at learning this beautiful language. And you helped fill the blanks. Thank you for posting this video!
I too have been studying for 3 years. My friend and I seemed to find Discrepancies . In the sound of vowels and vowels in pronouncing words. It made reading very difficult. He is a doctor, so he is smart, but we shared the same problem and could not start Hebrew B. This programme has helped me over a huge hurdle. Thank you ❤🎉
This presentation of the vowels was amazing! Thank you so much. I have just started learning Hebrew, and could not think of how to remember the vowel sounds. You did such a great job and I really appreciate it. I have subscribed to you.
Hi, Thank you for the smooth and wonderful explanation their. Could give me another tutorial video that well help me enhance my hebrew learning skills. I am a fellow "like-jew" worshipping also Abba here in the philippines. It will help a lot.
I am learning Hebrew. So i am getting different style of teaching. Very interest. I said before you wrote, i felt happy, that i also know to read. Thankyou very much. I love your patient teaching. 👌😍 I am learning in tamil and english translate for hebrew. Our teacher isPastor walter pandian. You also best teacher🛐🙌🙏
Hello! This is an amazing video and so helpful the way you break it down, it is definitely helping me understand. I just had 2 comments on things that were a bit confusing 1. You wrote the numbers 1-5 next to each vowel, but you wrote the period to the left so that it looks like .3 or .4. In English this doesn't make any sense - in fact it looks like a decimal number, or a fraction. When we write a list like that we always put the period after the number. 1. 2. 3., etc. 2. It might be helpful if you include a chart of how to pronounce the Hebrew vowels in English. When you very quickly said "e" is "i" and wrote them side by side, I can see how it might be unclear to people who are new to learning Hebrew.
I would agree with the previous comment, by categorizing the niqqudot into a-e-i-o-u, it is very helpful for English speakers new to Hebrew reading. Many thanks. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your time and lessons. This is a great recourse and I cannot wait until I am able to fluently speak to Yeshua, face to face, in His Father's very own language. Baruch Hashem. Shalom Uvrachah.
The first part of the Messiah´s name is YAHU (YHW), which is the Father´s name YHWH (Yahweh). The second part of the Messiah´s name is SHUA, from the verb yasha, which means to be liberated, be saved, be delivered. So the name of our Adon is YAHUSHUA (Exodus 17:9; Numbers 13:16; cf. Deuteronomy 3:21 & Judges 2:7). Yeshua is the Aramaic version (Nehemiah 8:17).
excellent explanation of nekudot! thank you very much. But I also have a question about Shiriq with jod: should there be a dot under the letter BETH with JOD and PE with JOD or not? TODA RABA LAH :)
besides english i speak russian so im not a stranger to the concept of weird squiggles around the letters making them sound funny, but still learning hebrew appears to be a struggle. this video seems helpful. todah rabah!
Kol Hakavod for trying to learn! I'm really proud of you! it's not an easy langue but once you get the principle of it , it will become easier good luck!!
Appreciate, THANK U FOR UR ORGANIZATION OF NIKYDOT, ITS VERY HELPFUL, PLS DO NOT STOP AND KEEP PROVIDE SUCH A CLASSES FIR US. , 🙏U CAN NOT IMAGINE HOW BENEFIT U RE FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO RE TRYING TO LEARN, READ,WRITE,SPEAK IN HEBREW ON LASHONA KODESH, ON THIS HOLY,AM KOL ISROEL LANGUAGE. I didn't watch the whole video...did she differentiate between ashkenazi and sefardik pronunciation...where kamaz gadol is actually "aw" not "ah" and hirek gadol is actualy "aye". Tof and Saf are both T's, the other dialect Tof is T and Sof is S. That's why in Brooklyn they say Baurruch and in Staten Island at the Jewish Foundation School they say Baruch.

The only change I would make is to let the audience know that all the vowel sounds in Hebrew are short sounded and not long. You mentioned the bowel sounds as long then change the pronunciation to short. Absurd!
Let's face it. The Hebrew writing system is pretty poorly designed. Optional writing of nikud and dagesh. Vav can mean a consonant or a vowel. Multiple nikud for nearly identical vowel sounds. And consonants that are all boxy so if they are not written very clearly, they can easily be mistaken for each other. It's a shame such an ancient script is so ... Difficult to penetrate.
This instructor and format was a game changer for me. Truly a blessing to encounter.
