Boogie truly is a good soul. After an abusive childhood with a alcoholic father and a constantly crazy mother, he still went on. Even with being overweight, sad and in the verge of suicide, he still came through. And look at him today, hundreds of pounds gone, and a happy guy with friends and a successful career. I'm proud of ya boogie.

I found the victim mentality tiresome and annoying 10 years ago. I hated boogie before it was cool!
Damn, it really hits harder after watching this video again and realising the EXTREMELY noticeable signs of victim mentality and sense of entitlement that would later lead to his self-destruction.
And? Do you not recognise he had a terrible abusive time growing up? He WAS a victim if you take it to be true what he said in this video. This will affect the way you approach your entire life afterwards.

It’s important to keep that context in mind but the truth is: at a certain point, one has to pull themselves up to a higher level and NOT LET YOUR PAST be the anchor. It’s so much easier said than done, I’ve been on a similar path like boogie but I chose to stop feeling sorry for myself and just fucking work on myself. It’s a sad truth, but boogie chose wrong for the last decade and I hope he does actually move forward in life.

There's no such thing as who someone "truly" is. We aren't immutable. Our personalities and identities change and morph in response to our environments - it's incredibly possible for someone with sick and terrible roots to grow into someone fantastic and genuine, and it's, unfortunately, equally possible for the very opposite to happen. We can enjoy who Boogie was, and recognize that's no longer who he is. We can only hope he might find that light once again.

This video aged like milk on a hot summer's day.
I remember seeing this video 6 years ago, when i was 13. Life mostly sucked, just like everyone else does to an extent. My parents were really pissed at eachother and that came towards me and my siblings, i didnt do well in school socially and got in trouble somewhat often bc I didnt adapt well, and a plethora of other things made it that was only ever happy online. Seeing this video again as a 19 year old young adult really shed light on how much Boogie and many other youtube personalities have lifted my spirits enough to continue on, rather than succumb to the hardships of life. So thanks guys!

It’s sad watching this today. I used to watch boogie a lot back in the 2012-2014 days and he really seemed the happiest at that point, not to mention he was doing really well on RUclips. These days boogie just doesn’t look as happy and there isn’t much of a fun feel to his vids, it feels so lonely. I just wish we could go back to those earlier days and experience it again because it was a great time.

I don't know what's more sad, the way his life has just crashed and burned, or the fact that he still has thousands of people who admire and support him.
I've seen so many genuinely good people get shafted in life, that I was genuinely disgusted with this man. He made millions of dollars, pissed it all away, destroyed his health, and constantly manipulates people, but says "I'm so nice, feel bad for me".

I watched this video at like 5 and didn't understand. Watching it now I realize how hard growing up was for you. The past few years of school have been tough for me and I've had suicidal thoughts. I've had a very good life. I've lived in populated areas, with friends, a good neighborhood, and caring parents with high-income jobs. I've had no reason to complain, yet I've been dejected for multiple years now. It turns out I've been diagnosed with OCD and feasibly Clinical Depression. I refuse to take medication because I believe it creates an addiction. I was able to relate and sympathize with this video. It really hits home even though- it doesn't. I've been given everything yet all I can do is internally rot. People have this twisted perception that a smile, or good life blossoms happiness. Some people like myself are really struggling despite what we have. I am eternally grateful, but I'd give it all away to be happy. Bless you Boogie2988.

I watched this video back when I went to college at Fayetteville and dropped out, and now I just got re admitted to finish my college path but not as nearly depressed as I was few years ago. Saw you look totally different now and seem like a lot happier too, made me very happy too.
I had just discovered Francis a few days ago. I had no clue it was a character, I thought it was seriously just this guy that rages and I thought it was both sad and hilarious. But now that I know this story, I realize it's just a character made by this man that actually has good character and a good personality. And it still is sad and hilarious, but for a whole new reason. Thank you Boogie.
