I have just joined the sue Ryder lottery because I think it is so worthwhile.i lost my husband to cancer 3 years ago and while all the oncologists and McMillan staff were wonderful at the time as soon as he died,I never heard from them again.i have my wonderful family but still feel a bit of after care would have been wonderful so to know that sue Ryder provide that was why I decided to join this worthwhile charity.good luck and keep up the good work.👌💐

I have just joined. Everything was clearly explained to me, a pleasant man.
I have just joined the sue Ryder lottery because I think it is so worthwhile. I lost my beautiful lady 4 years ago. I still miss her every day. She died at home in my arms where she wanted to die with her dignity, pride as still being able to decide what she wanted to decide. but the day after she died I never heard from no-one again. I had to sort out all the equipment. Which was hard work as I was left to do it all on my own. I still feel a bit of after care would have helped me come to turns with my loss and the 9 months of Tara, myself, and her wonderful son Max having to live with " living with cancer" He was only 12 at the the time but he never left either of our sides. Tara was only 49 herself. Why I decided to join this worthwhile charity was because it is a very wortwhile cause and although we did not use the hospice i understand what a brilliant job they do. The support we received from her doctor, the staff on the cancer ward at the BRI Bradford to help Tara being able to come home & all the support I received from the community nurses and all those helping set up tara being able to come home was unbelievable. Thank you for the care that my husband received at home in the last five days of his life, he decided after spending a lot of time I and out of hospital in the last few years of his life he wanted to die at home, this was put in place for when he needed it, thank you to the wonderful people that made it possable
