That's the way these things work. One criminal rats on the other, to put it crassly. Now, if the prosecution were asking the jury to look at Cohen, conclude that he has the innocence of an altar boy, and believe him only for that reason, it would be a weak case, and your point would be well taken.
But no, the prosecutors, as the guests pointed out, have a heap of corroborating documentary evidence. In addition, you assert that this is a "bogus case" because _you_ think it is a bogus case or want to believe that. Any reason anyone else should believe it, based on the evidence that has been presented? No. As a result, your point is not well taken.
