I agree!!! I hate digital art! I love textures, feels, and sounds. I love cutting paper and gluing and making tangible things .
@@lindseypilz9667Textures have anti-anxiety effect. I have two special journals for that, just collection of pages with different qualities. Just for raffling and flip through. For the sake of feels and sounds ❤
Beautiful journal. When I started making junk journals many years ago it was really using junk. Whatever you found around the house or in the mail. You just glued it on a page and trying to make it pretty. Like everything else JJ evolved over the years. I'm 77 years old and still making JJ. But now it's different. I rarely use digits. I guess I come from the old school. I was scrapbooking at the age of 10. It's now printed in my DNA. Continue your good work. You're a wonderful creator.

It is rare these days to see a jj that allows the “trash/junk” to be a visual part of the end result. I appreciate when content providers repurpose items without completely obliterating their original look. There is something quite pure about it. I will add, I like all creative endeavors that reuse items that would otherwise be thrown away. I am not suggesting one is better than the other. Both approaches are beautiful. I think I am just reminded of my childhood with this version and it brings back such wonderful memories. tfs 😊

It's so refreshing to see and hear journal artists being super resourceful. I do mostly envelope art, ephemera and cards and now half finished journals.i love using what's available and inspired by random stuff people would normally chuck out

omg i love taco bell bags and any fast food bags that make noise, also i even use the ones that comes from burpee seeds with the little zips on top and store a few scrappy papers inside i can use in future... my junk book is full ,...lol I have to make some more from my cereal boxes, or any box really! The possibility are endless!

I just started JJ'ing. I am currently working on project #3 so I am a real newbie but I have bought some items and my projects are a mixture of junk and bought stuff :) I have started a stash of junk (trash) and when I have enough I am going to make a true JJ. I am sure it's going to be a challenge but also rewarding.

I’ve always wanted to live near a train track. I travel by train to avoid flying and pass through many states. What state are you in may I ask?
Oh really? :) I don't blame you for avoiding flying. I've never been on a plane before. I live in West Virginia. The trains we have here are mostly carrying cars full of coal traveling out of the coal mines. They travel much slower and are way noisier and clunkier lol!
@@peaceofjunkjournals West Virginia always sounds such a nice place. I’m in California which has lovely coastline but has too many people for my liking. I’m an introvert so it’s a bit overwhelming at times. That said there’s some quiet countryside too. Anyway thx for the reply and I love your journal and calm voice.
How did you bind it?
I used the 3 hole pamphlet stitch to sew in the 4 signatures :)
