It really feels more like a Lil Nas X song then a Worlds song. The fact that the riot music team wasn't involved at all is probably why. They had a good formula for worlds and you could really feel the hype every year.

This sounds more like a Lil nas X song than a world song which is great as a song. It's just, Rise, Take Over, Phoenix and Legends never die give me chills and a feeling that something epic is about happen when I hear them. This song doesn't do that.

I tried increasing the speed by 8% (using an add-on to bring it to 108% speed) and I think that's a good middle ground that keeps the weight of the bass hits, but ramps up the urgency that we usually want from a Worlds anthem.

It doesn't need to be a flame(like the previous WOLRD songs) that ignites others, it can also be something that starts out small and gets bigger as it progressively advances.

I don't play league of legends but I love the music they have for worlds every year. This year it feels like there's a lack of emotional undertone. In previous world anthems you can feel the desire of the teams competing in the music, listening to that would be me feel so hyped. This year the music is good but it's lacking that fundamental feeling that the old ones had.

As someone who recently heard this live at a nas x concert (chicago on Sept 10th) they did nas dirty on this, the concert version was energetic and bouncy, this is a lot less, almost like they turned everything down but his vocals, it's odd because hearing it live, I was hella hyped and ready for the energy, but it feels sucked out of this version.
Live versions are often very different than their recorded counterparts. Not to mention in concerts artists had the artistic liberty to change things around just because playing the same song every night gets old after a while
The point about the mixing is so legit, like even in his tiktok teaser for the song it sounds wayy more hype since they added some more voice effects and the instrumental was turned up a lot and you could really hear that chunky bass a lot better, I think it's also on the mixing team a bit! I just simply can't imagine this song as the Worlds ceremony official song. Riot gave us each and every year since Warriors an epic song with a lot of power and great animations, this one even though is not a bad song, doesn't fit that kind of scenario and isn't at least close to what we were used to see/hear from Riot.
Honestly this is amazing its a calm hype. The power comes more from the words themselves. "Dont ever say its over if im breathing." This line alone i can visualize myself in a cluch situation in valorant its 1 v 5 and im ready to take on the whole team. The calming melody kinda just makes it easier to see myself picking them off 1 by one till i get the last one and i tell my teammates "dont ever say its over if im breathing.". (I'm aware this sounds cringe but my point still stands)
I'm 100% sure Nas is going to make a remix or add a feature before Worlds. I think this version is going to be for the radio but he'll feature someone to do the "hype" part in a remix. We seen someone added to Rise before the Worlds performance.
rise remix probably not the best example, it wasn’t even much of a remix just an addition of vocals lol. so the beat remained virtually untouched, and i assure you that no amount of lyric addition is going to save this song. Now a GOOD example of a song being massively improved right before the live performance is actually Ignite’s remix, where it gained an orchestral note to it.
I'm sure they would not do this, but they will do now by the public reaction to this song not having the Worlds Anthem hype it used to have. So if they does a remix version, probably it wil be to try to minimize the damage.

As a song it gives off more of a feeling of silent resolve than the usually louder yells of determination the older worlds songs feel like.

I tried increasing the speed by 8% (using an add-on to bring it to 108% speed) and I think that's a good middle ground that keeps the weight of the bass hits, but ramps up the urgency that we usually want from a Worlds anthem.
Changing things up makes it fun, not everything has to be rage and feelings when we talk about league

I don't play league of legends but I love the music they have for worlds every year. This year it feels like there's a lack of emotional undertone. In previous world anthems you can feel the desire of the teams competing in the music, listening to that would be me feel so hyped. As someone who recently heard this live at a nas x concert (chicago on Sept 10th) they did nas dirty on this, the concert version was energetic and bouncy, this is a lot less, almost like they turned everything down but his vocals, it's odd because hearing it live, I was hella hyped and ready for the energy, but it feels sucked out of this version.

I just simply can't imagine this song as the Worlds ceremony official song.
Riot gave us each and every year since Warriors an epic song with a lot of power and great animations, this one even though is not a bad song, doesn't fit that kind of scenario and isn't at least close to what we were used to see/hear from Riot.

Honestly this is amazing its a calm hype. The power comes more from the words themselves. "Dont ever say its over if im breathing." This line alone i can visualize myself in a cluch situation in valorant its 1 v 5 and im ready to take on the whole team. The calming melody kinda just makes it easier to see myself picking them off 1 by one till i get the last one and i tell my teammates "dont ever say its over if im breathing.". (I'm aware this sounds cringe but my point still stands)

I'm 100% sure Nas is going to make a remix or add a feature before Worlds. I think this version is going to be for the radio but he'll feature someone to do the "hype" part in a remix. We seen someone added to Rise before the Worlds performance.

rise remix probably not the best example, it wasn’t even much of a remix just an addition of vocals lol. so the beat remained virtually untouched, and i assure you that no amount of lyric addition is going to save this song. Now a GOOD example of a song being massively improved right before the live performance is actually Ignite’s remix, where it gained an orchestral note to it.
I'm sure they would not do this, but they will do now by the public reaction to this song not having the Worlds Anthem hype it used to have. So if they does a remix version, probably it wil be to try to minimize the damage.

"This isn't a worlds song" was my first thought when listening to this a month ago and I still think that is true. This is not a worlds song, this is a song about the journey of DRX and Deft's last dance. Which made this song 100x more hype and poetic.
Every time I listen to the song, I remember of deft. His entire career led to this year man, maybe not the most sucessful internationally, but in the end he gave probably the best Worlds Final ever.
