It’s sad, it has potential it it’s upsetting as a consumer to be sold a product that it’s a finished product but in reality it’s an early access.
Imagine if Frontier make a movie studio and film making game, something like Planet Movies or something. That idea excites me so much, but I guess that's a dream far far away.
I dont think you should say "sorry to not take it further". Like you started in 1920, after few episodes you moved 60 years further to 1980.. and there is nothing different. Also, in terms of gameplay, you survived early events ( just because you set it to hard ), made 2-3 movies ( which beside artifical addition of prestige by adding more things to set has not changed by any means ) start to earn a lot of money and there is nothing which would "stop you". At this point of time we should say thank you for making 7 episodes, because even 2 seems "too many" :)

I was so excited to play this and ended up refunding it. It's just soulless.. Hope they improve fast, but I think this is about 80% of how good it's gonna be. Glad I still have The Movies downloaded
I think your difficulty setting has upped the number of events.
Good! The events make it more interesting.
It's odd so many games have problems with newer CPU. My i5 9400F don't have all those frame drops you have. I agree that the game could use more work, but I also think people are judging it a little hard, there is some fun hours in it for the 20 euro, even that 15 euro is a more fair price
Yeah this game needs at least 2 years before they can release it if they want to actually make a good game
I think Hollywood Animal wins in this batch. It is the closest you get to Hollywood Mogul imho. I hope you get some early access. Liked those clips.

I was really hopeful after the beta because it was a great foundation; but the full release has basically no noticeable differences other than a few extra additional movie genres and stuff.
It feels like you're literally doing the same thing over and over again and it gets so ridiculously repetitive; and that's just gameplay. Just like you said it needs optimization, bug fixes,.etc. The game should have 100% been an early access title.
I shoulda watched more than one episode before making a move... You took me from eagerly buying it to realizing that it wasn't good enough and I'd wasted money. heh, if only... ;)
It’s not a “bad” game… but it isn’t the vibe I was seeking, and for content, it’s gotta really vibe with me for me to enjoy it and to present it with enjoyment.
I think it will become a good game, if they keep working at it. Bones are there. Just takes work

hollywood animal was definitely more engaging.
also on this one, it would be nice ifyou could make more expansive sets, like have water tank sets for boats, or be able to make a city block on a soundstage. things like that.
its the people them self when uploading that needs to stop slag around and write more info on the sets thy upload
Depending on people to write proper descriptions is a mistake. - even so, there are tags/labels built into everything when making a set (like the genre of the set design) that can simply be included properly on the display for that design. As it is now, without a description by the uploader, everything else describing the set is either absent or straight up inaccurate
This game is nothing more than "The Movies" with updated graphics and less overall things to do. Just play the original "The Movies" and call it a day.
Problem is that it is hard to play on todays machines.
@@marcusmaunula5018 Not really. I just installed it again last night, along with the 1.1 patch and the Stunts and Effects expansion. It runs fine. It has so many more features in it than Blockbuster Inc has that I had completely forgotten about. Such a good game!
it sounds harsh but this is a terrible game compare to the movies.... hell even Hollywood Animal's demo was far better than this crap, refunded it today
